Quick stop when we missed our connecting flight (not our fault). We had the chance to see St. Paul. Pretty nice. Mall of America is huge!!!! Claude said it’s 5.6 miles total if you walk through. (Late post) Still on Day 1: Calgary Alberta pre-HS Reunion 2026

Then in the afternoon, Shia pulls up and I mean actually drove in all the way from Edmonton, because apparently 25 years of silence just means “brb” 😂 Zero hesitation, straight back to DLSU energy like no time passed at all. @chekwa26 Asan ka inday? Next year hopefully makasama ka na!

Made a special banner for a special lady! I was in charge of decorations for my mom’s little get together so of course a banner had to be a part of it! I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving to be celebrated and I am so grateful to have a best friend/mom in one 🥰

August will always be a little magical to me. 🕯️

My mom was born this month, and 25 years later, so was I. Every year when August rolls around, it’s like a gentle nudge from the universe to pause from the hustle and just appreciate life as it is.

We spend so much time in our heads complaining about work, family, friends, or just whatever. We keep forgeting the most important thing: we woke up this morning, breathing. That alone means there’s hope for the day ahead.

I wanted to spend my birthday with the people who matter most to me. I wished my whole family could be there, but we’ll celebrate together in our own time and our own way, distance never really changes that. 💛

Yesterday was a blast. Not the kind of party where you just show up, eat, and drink…..but one full of deeper conversations, real laughter, and real presence. That meant more to me than anything.

To everyone who showed up to celebrate with me, and to everyone who sent love from all over the world, thank you. I felt every bit of it. Love you all. 🥹🎂

Late Post: Trip to SF July 2026

The Pulgas Water Temple is a Neoclassical monument in Redwood City, California, built in 1934 to mark the terminus of the Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct, which carries water from the Sierra Nevada to San Francisco.

Its circular colonnade surrounds a reflecting pool where water once cascaded dramatically before being redirected underground for safety reasons.

It’s a striking, peaceful spot. A Roman-style colonnade reflecting in a long pool, surrounded by gardens, that feels almost hidden and otherworldly for something so close to Silicon Valley

So many trips to SF deep and I still found something new 👀✨ My girl put me on to the Pulgas Water Temple and I am grateful for her taking some time off work ti take me @joandm419

Late post from Jun/Jul 2026 Toronto Trip

Toronto really gave me my whole heart in one trip 🥹🇵🇭🇨🇦

Reunited with my bestie Leslie after she flew in all the way from the Philippines, and my mom was there too (also arrived from the Philippines) full circle, full heart moment. 💛

Leslie and I have been friends since high school (38 years in total), and that’s the wild part about our friendship….we don’t talk every single day, but somehow it never matters. The second we’re together, it’s like no time passed at all. We know the ins and outs of each other’s lives, the whole messy beautiful story, and being with her and her family this trip reminded me why some friendships just don’t need maintenance instructions. They just are. Also, I got to see her dad whom I treated as my 2nd dad also.

I had few days with mama. I didn’t get nearly enough time with her this time, but she’ll be staying in Canada for the next few months, so this isn’t goodbye. I’ll be back for sure. 🥹✈️

Grateful doesn’t even cover it. 💛
