10 YEARS OF IRU. 🇵🇰🏃‍♂️
Last Friday, Islamabad’s skies went wild. 🌧️⚡️ And somehow, it felt perfect.
@islamabadrunwithus

On September 11, 2016, IRU began with 3 people and a simple dream: build a running culture in Pakistan from scratch. No club, no blueprint, just belief and we did it 👇

Ten years later, thousands run across Pakistan. And through every storm, summer, and freezing winter, one thing never changed: we show up. Last Friday, despite heavy rain and wind, our community showed up to celebrate a decade together. Unforgettable.

But IRU was always bigger than weekly community runs.
🏔️ 2018: Margalla Hills Marathon, Pakistan’s first trail half-marathon @margallahillsmarathon

2020: Islamabad Marathon, now transforming marathon culture nationwide. Its 6th edition (2026) drew 5,000+ runners from 30+ countries. @isbmarathon

1,000+ free community activities. Countless runs, hikes, races. But the real win? People who never saw themselves as runners, now running, racing, inspiring others.

To everyone who ran, volunteered, believed: this decade belongs to you too. ❤️
We’ve come far. This is only the beginning.
10 YEARS OF IRU. 10 YEARS OF RUNNING TOGETHER.

IRU Since 2016. 🇵🇰🏃‍♂️

Last night, the skies went wild in Islamabad 🌧️⚡️
And somehow, it felt perfect.

Because for 10 years, we’ve kept running
@islamabadrunwithus

On September 11, 2016, we started IRU with a simple dream: to build a running culture in Pakistan from scratch. There was no running community like this, no established culture, just a few people who believed that one day, Pakistan would run together.

A decade later, look how far we’ve come.

Running events are happening all across Pakistan. Thousands of people are running. A culture has been built.

And through all these years, through scorching summers, freezing winters, rain and storms, we never cancelled an IRU event because of the weather.

Last night was no different. We showed up. We ran. We celebrated.

Because IRU was never just about running. It was about showing up, building a healthy community Together.

To everyone who ran with us, supported us, volunteered, believed in us and helped build this journey, this decade belongs to you too. ❤️

We’ve come a long way.

But this is only the beginning.

10 YEARS OF IRU.
10 YEARS OF RUNNING TOGETHER.

IRU Since 2016. 🇵🇰🏃‍♂️

A night to celebrate the people behind the movement. 💚

With 150+ volunteers who worked day and night, selflessly and tirelessly, this trendsetting event has grown into a true movement across Pakistan.
These are the incredible people behind the milestones, the energy, and the impact.

And last night, we celebrated them, the heart of it all. ✨
