As my birthday comes to a close and the start of Yom Kippur approaches I can’t help but reflect. I look back and am thankful for all I have. I am thankful for my beautiful family that I love more than words can describe. I am thankful for the friends I have that I can laugh, cry and make memories with. And I am thankful for all the little things that makes life so special. As I look ahead and bring in the new year (both in my age and the Jewish calendar) I pray this year will be just as blessed as the last. But I will ask for more. But not for me but for my children and for everyone’s children. May we enter a new year filled with more love, more kindness, more understanding and more compassion. May the world learn from the past and realize that peace is the solution. And may we all celebrate everyday as if it’s a birthday!
Wishing all that observe a meaningful and easy fast. G’mar Chativa Tova!

From all the tears I shed this weekend it created rain! I couldn’t be prouder of you @jaredfiske12 !
4 years ago you left for college not knowing what you expect but 4 years later you crushed it! Even through the miserable rain and being soaking wet you kept a smile on your face and your head held high always looking at the positive and embracing the moment. I will say it’s a lot more fun to cheer you on from the soccer sidelines in the rain but today takes the cake! I love you and congratulations! You have worked hard and earned this like everything else you do in life. 🎓🎉👏♥️🥰 taken in Vassar College by @isfiske

It’s always a good feeling to take my morning walks but it’s an even better feeling to know my walk is for an important reason. Raising money and awareness for Holocaust Education is more important now than ever. Join me and take the Journey too and let’s make a difference together.

Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day I remember the hope my Grandmother always had and the sacrifice my Grandfather made. I remember the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazi’s just because they were Jewish and I remember the survivors who lived through hell and tell their stories so we never forget.

Such an honor to be invited to the Interfaith Service in commemoration of Governor Elect Mikie Sherrill @mikiesherrill and Lt Governor Elect Dave Caldwell @drdale.caldwell inauguration. The morning was a beautiful ceremony filled with music, blessings and most of all love for community. The one thing we kept hearing from all the faith leaders was the importance to listen to one another. Even though we all may pray differently we can still come together to listen and respect one another. Sitting in the pew in one of the oldest churches in NJ we felt the warmth and love shared among everyone no matter what faith or religion we practiced.
Let’s continue to listen, sing, and sit together, and welcome happier days.

We are all heartbroken over the horrific terrorist attack at Bondi beach on the Jewish community and to Jewish individuals right here in our own backyards. I hear so many people say enough is enough. Yes! Enough is enough so let’s do something about it.

Help us fund much needed grants to schools to help teachers educate their students about the dangers of hate. It is a proven fact that by learning about the Holocaust at an early age students gain the tools to understand how prejudice starts, to recognize it and stand up against it. By learning about the Holocaust and history, children gain the tools and they are prepared when they get to college and the work place to fight back and stand up against antisemitism and hate of all kinds.

Your support of @mshefoundation are the first steps to fighting antisemitism and making a difference in our children’s lives.

Let’s be light for the future of our children. 🕎✡️💡🙏💜

Even with the grandkids not around, cause of finals and schedules, Mark is keeping the Latke making tradition going with Isabella. Next year the entire family will be back together but for now Mark & Isabella will have no problem enjoying the latkes to themselves! Happy Hanukkah!! 🕎✡️💜
