🥇on Rd1 of @scottishcx at Muir of Ord, just outside Inverness. A couple of weeks off to recover from the 7hr hardtail race at the XCM World Champs - body needed it!

New 26/27 CX bikes only arrived the day before, so was a bit of a jump on and see what happens kind of a start to the season. Winged-it 🤣

Great day in superfast conditions. Sent it a bit. Big thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.

Very excited to have raced for GB for the first time and in such an amazing race 🤩 One of the hardest 7h of riding in my life and definitely one of the prettiest! Steep, alpine climbs and slippy, rooty descents beneath the cliffs of the dolomites.

Moray Way FKT 🥳

Big lap around the local trails last month on the @hup_competition_cycling GCX 😁 So for the stats:

Time: 6h 50 mins 23sec

Distance: 160.11km

Food: 2x bananas, 2x hot-cross buns, 2x gels, a waffle and way too many bars!

Pee stops: 0 (all about the elapsed time 👀)

Really enjoying mixing it up this summer with lots of different adventures. Next up a new challenge ➡️ MTB marathon champs!

The wait is over, the new UCI approved HUP evo2 has arrived. After substantial redevelopment, the new HUP evo2 is now even lighter, with larger clearances, multiple bottle cage bosses, bigger chainrings, a UDH hanger - but the same race winning geometry...

Through independent SGS testing, we've been able to re-engineer the triple-butted 7005 tubes, 8 of the 11 tubes are new, reducing weight. Along with the new Brushed Aluminium finish, that reduction in weight is real, frame weights start from 1195g in Aluminium - we make High Street brands blush when comparing their carbon frames, at double the price.

We’ve kept the same, highly successful race geometry as the original HUP evo. It works, it wins, so we kept it. This means you can continue to race Cyclocross, Road, Triathlon - but now, Gravel too. By increasing mud clearances, Gravel in Summer, CX in Winter with just a change of tyres is real too. Big mud clearances on 33c, or space for 50mm gravel tyres using the dedicated Gravel fork.

True CX bikes have been getting thin on the ground, so don’t confuse this with another long wheelbase gravel bike, trying to convince you it will work for CX (because they don’t). Team HUP has already spent 6 months racing and proving the new bike in Belgium, against the best cross racers in the world.
The HUP evo2 has held true to the geometry requirements of racing, chainstay lengths, wheelbase, stack & BB drop are not compromised, as they are on new generation of Gravel bikes on MTB tyres.

The HUP evo2 sets a whole new benchmark...

Women’s Elite race on the @grallochgravel and our 2 new to gravel CX girls were in at the deep end. Both new to gravel this year and their first Gralloch experience!

This was always going to be a steep learning curve and it was. Dropped bottles, lost nutrition, shipped chains and big hits unsighted in the bunch, the stacked women’s field was never going to take any prisoners.

Both riders had to deal with the usual fast paced gravel race chaos, having to stop to get sorted, then restarting - to then do hours of solo cycling, a real test of resilience 💪

Congratulations to @graceinglis on her Top 10, running higher for the early part of the race before stopping. She rolled in a fantastic 9th, with no legs left to fight for that 7th! It’s definitely not a 1 hour CX race 👊

Huge well done to @ishbelstrathdee for a massive solo shift, but she was not quitting! Rolled in 18th, wrecked, but still full of smiles, such a tough day 😎

Big thank you to @vittoriauk_tyres for getting the girls through puncture free, that’s a win in itself👌

You know they are real racers, when they’ve already come up with solutions to their race issues, before the marshals have been able to take their timing chips off 🤣

Legends both of them, we’re all super proud🖤💛❤️

After a gruelling 10hrs of racing, it’s Team HUP’s @ishbelstrathdee taking the women’s win in the inaugural Border200 race, Round 2 of the @gralba_series at the @mucknmacfest on only her 3rd ever gravel race!

The new HUP GCX on CD42 carbon wheels running sweet on the Terreno T30 @vittoriauk_tyres all handbuilt in Peebles, Scotland 💪

Congratulations to all the ladies racing a massive day in the saddle, 200km and over 4000m of climbing through the stunning Scottish Borders scenery, you are all legends! 👏

That’s how you do your first ever gravel race! 🥇 Team HUP’s @graceinglis took the Elite Female win on the first race for the new HUP GCX gravel spec bike, on her maiden gravel race.

Scotland obliged with plenty of drama for the Elite women’s race with Storm Dave, a mix of chunky and champagne gravel, punchy climbs and a rapid grid.

Grace made the break early with team mate @ishbelstrathdee and a chasing @rebecca_saund in 3rd and Team HUP’s @reddytasha in 4th, leading the second group.

On the final lap, Grace made her move and put the hammer down to solo over the finish line in 2 hours and 5 minutes, just over 2 minutes clear of the chasing Rebec in 2nd and a slightly blown Ishbel in 3rd.

Tasha managed to break from the 2nd chasing group to ensure her 4th place finish. Big well done to all the ladies who raced in those brutal conditions 🥳

Squad pleased with their opening race of the season and how the new bikes, wheels and components have all performed 👌 After most of them nearly froze on the morning’s prologue, the team bus heater was their new best friend 🖤💛❤️

This was just so good to see. A rubbish 5 months is over for @ishbelstrathdee after breaking her foot at Xterra Worlds in Italy last year. It’s been tough watching the cyclocross season from the sidelines, but her recovery is happening and she couldn’t resist some muddy Champs fun times! Well done Ishbel 🖤💛❤️
