John Waters. ‘The Wire.’ Pit beef. Baltimore is a paradise, and for more than a decade, Larry Cohen (@ishotbaltimore) has been documenting the “chaos and energy” he’s found in Maryland’s most populous city. A resident there since 1988, Larry spends his days wandering the boulevards and back alleys in search of images that feel so real you can “smell the street in them,” he tells VICE.

Labor Day is the 20th Anniversary of @theresakeil and I. We're in Brooklyn, where we spent a few days shooting, culminating in our favorite event of the year tomorrow.
Here is something I wrote 16 years ago. I am a lucky man.

Adamo y Eva:

You were the prettiest tomboy in town.

You let me do things for you without making me feel like a nuisance because it made me happy.

I felt like we were best friends, although I was 10 and you were almost 16 and my parents were paying you to watch me.

When you helped me clean up, I forgot how much I hated it.

You always let me make up the rules to games because you think I'm fair.

You called out "pick left!", as I slid behind the screen to stay with the taller of the 2 boys we were beating in basketball. We kicked ass. Still do.

Less than 4 years ago, I met you.

You made me see things neither of us knew were there.

As I watched humanity alone, it is you I wanted to share my observations with. Your mind, my thoughts were reaching for.

It was weird getting used to smiling.

You are my favorite childhood sitcom stars rolled into one.

I like knowing that when you say I'm wrong, I am.

I've watched you learn to trust yourself and open into that magical flow that is you.

I like watching people feel good around you.

You told me much of what I do is art and helped me believe you.

You showed me how to not match correctly.

You answer every question I ask openly.

Sharing is so fucking cool.

I still have a crush on you.

"jesus christ, jesus christ, jesus christ"-- the things we see... :)

I like being the example to our children of what a relationship should be. I love that they see it.

I buy you skirts and shirts and shoes that fit & it makes me feel like a charming prince.

I wish you could see how I look at you when you are not looking, but I like it when you do.

Loving you is the best feeling in the world and remarkably easy.

Happy Anniversary, my beautiful Theresa.
