End of the summer with @mariboustate @lidofestival

It’s been so much fun to perform shows on the ‘Hallucinating Love’ album promotion. Much love to Liam and Chris (+ band) and to @mrmatthewkelly and the string team. Thanks for always bringing the joy 🙏

Huge thanks to @fran.has.gone and the team at @deccasync.us for continuously finding unique and interesting places for our music.

Lovely to catch up with @theleaflibrary last night on the tour for their superb new album ‘After The Rain, Strange Seeds’. I feel very proud to have played a small part in its creation. @d.fordham string arrangements are always fun to record. We recorded the string quartet back in June 2023 and it’s great to finally hear the fruits of our labour. Huge thanks to @ashtoninspace and the band for welcoming us back into your musical world. Plus to John Smart, @sarahc_viola, @rhufo_ for your artistry 🎻 by @iskrastrings

Happy release day @whitelandsband 🔥🔥🔥
I first came across the band supporting @slowdiveofficial at @eventimapollo and immediately became a fan. It’s been a joy to arrange and record strings for their new ‘Sunlight Echoes’ album.
Also lovely to connect with the creative community based around the @soniccathedral label. by @iskrastrings

First proper day back in the studio. A very productive time with @iskrastrings we are revisiting our EP The Orrery to work out live versions of the tracks, it’s going to be fun.

Truly blessed to play with @mariboustate for their Glastonbury headline performance on the West Holts stage. Huge thanks to @mrmatthewkelly for awesome arrangements and zen like organising. Grateful for the awesome musicians and friends I get to work with.

My first encounter with @davidjulyanmusic was his music for Christopher Nolan’s Insomnia. The string heavy score had me rushing from the cinema to purchase a copy of the soundtrack. Years later our paths crossed and I asked if my string quartet could record ‘Let Me Sleep’ a favourite from that album. In return David asked if my string quartet could perform a live reimagining of the Memento score, something that was originally a synth only work. Our mutual friend @littoralpenguin invited us to share this collaboration at the Union Chapel as part of the @daylight_music series of concerts.

David Julyan ended up writing a new piece for the Iskra String Quartet album, ‘Heliopause’, which takes it’s name from the boundary of our sun’s influence in space. We didn’t know it at the time but space would be a theme we would return to when writing The Orrery EP together.

The Orrery EP is one week old. It’s wonderful to finally be able to share the fruits of our recent collaboration. This collection is intended to be listened to together as a whole. We hope you are enjoying the journey.

Love this! @thisisfyfe & Iskra Strings song ‘Deletia’ (feat. @mmmmysie) is featured on the new trailer for @hbo Mountainhead starring Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef.

I feel immensely proud of my work with Fyfe. Deletia is taken from our album ‘Interiority’ (link in the bio)
