Next week! 🌊 Join us at the @edtrustwest Education Equity Forum for “Moving the Needle for Pacific Islanders: A Talanoa with Pasifika Leaders”

Excited to have coalition partners Roy Tongilava, Karel Lokeni, and Francine Blacksher talanoa about what it will take to meaningfully improve educational opportunities and outcomes for Pacific Islander students across California.

They’ll talanoa about the work already happening in our communities, the challenges our students continue to face, and how we can build stronger, more coordinated systems of support from TK-12 through higher education.

If you’ll be at the Forum, come join us for this important conversation. We’d love to see you there! by @island.grad

Island Grad 2026 is a wrap! 🌊 This is what culture and community look like! Our graduates walked across that stage with their ancestors beside them, their families cheering them on, and an entire community lifting them up. So incredibly proud. 🎓🌺 #islander #graduation #culture #fyp #sbvc taken in San Bernardino Valley College by @island.grad

Island Grad 2026 was one for the books! Watching scholars from all over the IE celebrate their achievements while showcasing their cultures was amazing. Huge shoutout to Francine Blacksher for creating a space in the Inland Empire where Islanders are seen, celebrated, and represented. @islandruca @island.grad @drnyreeclark @gwen_rodgers_schoolboard @mrparker909 @golden_touch_productions_ taken in San Bernardino Valley College by @island.grad
