Image description

Image 1: Dark red background with white text. Header at top reads “international socialist organisation aotearoa”. Title reads “Where we stand”. Text at bottom reads “socialism, workers’ power, liberation from oppression, revolution not reformism, internationalism, tino rangatiratanga, environment, revolutionary organisation.“

Image 2: Red tinted background image of raised fists. Header in white reads “international socialist organisation aotearoa”. White footer has ISO raised fist logo in red on left, “where we stand” red text on right. Body text reads: socialism. Capitalism is a system of crisis, exploitation and war in which production is for profit - not for human need. Although workers create society’s wealth, they have no control over its production or distribution. A new society can only be built when workers collectively seize control of that wealth and create a new state in which they will make the decisions about the economy, social life and the environment.

Continued in comments. White text on dark red background reads: international socialist organisation aotearoa. where we stand. socialism, workers’ power, liberation from oppression, revolution not reformism, internationalism, tino rangatiratanga, environment, revolutionary organisation. by @iso.uoa

The ISO invites you to a Panel for Palestine on Wednesday October 7th, 6pm, UOA general library in the Reo Space. Come listen to our panelists share their experiences in the struggle against imperialism, and for Palestine.

Three years ago today the dam broke against Israel as the October 7 attacks reacted to decades of violent occupation. Gaza was put under active siege and Israel has since aimed for the wholesale destruction of Gaza and the eradication of Palestinians. The majority of hospitals, homes, universities, schools and infrastructure needed for everyday life have been destroyed by Israel. The whole population is subject to a ‘total blockade’ of fuel, water, medicine, food and electricity. Starvation and unsanitary, disease-breeding conditions have been used to collectively punish Palestinians. Polio, which was eradicated from Gaza 25 years ago, has reemerged and an epidemic was declared during July 2024. Projections of the Genocide put the number of deaths in the hundreds of thousands. A third of all murders by the Israeli state have been children. by @iso.uoa

Picket 🪧📣 This Tuesday 15th September 11.30am outside the University of Auckland Library. Rocket Lab and the University of Auckland share a strong collaborative partnership centered on aerospace research.

Is the university aware that court proceedings have been filed, challenging our government’s approval to launch BLACK SKY satellites from a ROCKET LAB base in Māhia, used to spy on Gaza by Israel? Join us to call out Rocket Lab for its complicity in Genocide📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣 by @iso.uoa
