Yusei had always been a quiet man, content to keep to himself and remain in the background. He had his teammates, his sensei, his sister and the few people he held close, but he never sought anything more. Life in the Hyuga clan’s side branch had taught him that it was better to stay to the side, to be overlooked.

Then he met Emi.

With her, he could be quiet without being alone. He could stand to the side without feeling forgotten. And somehow, the man who had spent his entire life keeping to himself found that he could never quite stay away from her. He sought her out, lingered by her side, and found himself wanting more of her presence than he knew what to do with.

For a man who had spent his life content in the background, Yusei had never wanted to be closer to anyone. Emi was the exception to everything he had ever known

Isamu had retired as a jonin in his early adulthood after the war. Loss after loss and a tragic event during his teen years determined this trajectory of his life. He’d enjoyed his years as a shinobi, but his mind and body were tired.

Though he was never quite ready to let go of the routine.

While he enjoyed the time and peace that retirement allowed, he wouldn’t allow himself to grow weak.

Sometimes he’d take weeks off to focus on hobbies and upkeep of the small home he’d purchased in the woods outside Konoha.

But he always came back to training with his teammates.

Mako spent most of his childhood pretending to be cooler than he really was. He carried himself with a laid-back attitude, acted unbothered, and tried to look confident no matter the situation. In reality, he was painfully shy and constantly worried about what others thought of him. The carefree image was less about confidence and more about hiding his anxiety behind a calm smile and a casual shrug.

Most people saw right through him.

Between his two out-going siblings and his inability to hold a conversation, his facade cracked. It was a mask.

Mako is shy, an introvert. He isn’t cool and unbothered- he’s an anxious mess. But confidence is key, as his twin sister always told him. The only problem is he never quite understood where to get the confidence.

Decided to practice some perspective. Kinda got away from me. Anyways Mako my baby my cutie pie my precious angel i love u im sorry for neglecting you my sweet sweet summer child

🐻‍❄️ The Kōryū ❄️

The Kōryū Clan was once a powerful and respected family within Yukigakure (the Hidden Snow Village), known for their mastery of ice-based techniques and their bond with their polar bear summons.

Though originating in Yukigakure, the clan would eventually move onto creating a new hidden village; Shimogakure no Sato — The Hidden Village of the Dead Frost.

The Kōryū hold a permanent contract with the Polar Bear Summons- one that has existed for longer than the records remember.

This is something I’ve been working on for years but never quite committed to until about a year(?) ago when @benlacrimosa offered to help me 😭 bless her

Tamami brought an exciting energy into Zōri and Waraji’s lives the moment she arrived. They’d had their fun as a duo, but everything was just that bit more thrilling with her around. However, god help anyone who crossed their path, as her influence only added to the chaos among the trio.
