šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ Dear All,

I invite you to watch this video in YT made by @natxop Pellejero during his first experience on the @itialaska

After my brother @muloniatiziano (ā€œthe terrible student,ā€ as he likes to call himself), Nacho has given me immense satisfaction.

*Lo que Alaska une, que no lo separe ni Dios.*

I hope you enjoy the video.

The race clock hit zero at 3:00pm today—but the story isn’t finished.

Gavan Hennigan is still out there, moving step by step towards Nome.

No finish line. No fanfare. Just one more mile, and then another.

That’s the thing about the trail: when the race ends, the reasons people are out there do not.

As this year’s race comes to an end we want to thank some of the great companies that support our athletes.
@baryak.bikepacking gave all of our athletes a custom buff and made some awesome bike stem caps and trowels for our finishers!! taken in Iditarod Trail Invitational by @itialaska

Congratulations to Erick Basset, who became the latest inductee into the ITI 1000 Triple Threat Club. The Triple Threat Club is an elite group of athletes who have conquered the Iditarod Trail Invitational on bike, foot, and ski. Completing all three disciplines is a rare and extraordinary feat, showcasing the ultimate in resilience and adaptability. Great job Erick!! taken in Nome, Alaska by @itialaska

The snow was deep, the wind blew hard, the cold was apocalyptic, the trail was blown in. 2026’s edition of ITI took as much patience as it did persistence and we couldn’t be prouder of these four victors.

This photo captures the sum total of a thousand needles threaded along the way to make this moment happen.

Congratulations to each of you, it has been a joy and a privilege to witness your journey and victory from Knik Lake to Nome.

Quick trail update below. To read the full update head to the link in our bio.

Gavan traveled all night and arrived in Nulato around 6:30 this morning. After a Gavan-like quick stop like we are used to seeing when he is in his element, he is on the move again, making his way on the last stretch of the Yukon River to Kaltag.
Bikers Ryan Wanless, Troy Szczurkowski, Mayella Krause, Kendall Park, and Erick Basset arrived in Nulato yesterday during the afternoon and early evening. Not far behind them, Troy Szczurkowski arrived in Kaltag this afternoon and has also set off on the Kaltagng roughly around midnight. Ryan traveled overnight to Kaltag and arrived this morning. In Kaltag, our racers stay at the public school, where posters and signs cheer them on. All four have left Kaltag and are now on their way over the Kaltag portage to the coast, likely stopping at Old Woman cabin later on. Not far behind them, Troy Szczurkowski arrived in Kaltag this afternoon and has also set off on the Kaltag portage. taken in Iditarod Trail Invitational by @itialaska

While we await more racer movement—though Troy Szcurkowski is currently on his way to Takotna—we’d like to take a moment to shine the spotlight on the village of Nikolai, Alaska.
