Well… I guess it’s time to get some things off my chest—and hopefully put a couple of new things on it.

Asking for help has never been my strong suit. In fact, asking people for money makes me want to crawl into a hole, change my name, and start a new life as a mysterious woman in the French countryside. But here we are! 😂

For the past four years, Provincetown has given me more love and support than I ever could have imagined. This town has become my home and family, and helped me grow into the performer and woman I am today.

As I prepare for a very personal next chapter, some incredible people have come together to throw me a fundraiser. 🥹

I’m beyond grateful to everyone offering their time, talent, energy, and love. Seeing so many people show up for me is overwhelming. I’ve spent so much of my life trying to make other people laugh, and somehow this community keeps making me cry. (Rude.)

So, without further ado…

Provincetown is a spiritual place. Magic moves with ease down here at the tip of the cape and here’s a short story about how that magic greeted me with the warmest welcome.

In 2024, my first summer living and working here full time, I got a call from @jonrichardsonmusic and he asked me if I would like to play the role of Maggie in an upcoming reading of his original musical. @iwantedtoconfuseyou had been working on the show for years and recommended me for the part.

I quickly learned that Maggie and I had a lot in common. Maggie was an actress from New York City, spending her first summer in Provincetown working on a show. She was a lesbian, a high femme, a good time girl with a sense of humor. Spacey, a little bratty, down to earth. Huge stretch for me ;)
Saying yes was one of the best decisions I’ve made.

@jackofheartsclubmusical is truly a love letter to Provincetown. The show takes place on the last night of summer in Provincetown 1963. Ten queer people in their favorite townie dive bar, The Jack of Hearts Club.

In the last two years this show has made many of my dreams come true. We’ve run our show to sold out audiences two summers in a row, did a workshop in New York & recorded an original cast album (now available on vinyl!) To experience this with the same amazing cast and work with an incredible producing team, @tomkirdahyproductions , has been a highlight of my artistic career. I’m continuously in awe of the artistry here in Provincetown. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this show. It reignited my confidence in myself as a performer and reminded me that I actually *like* musical theatre again. I missed the cheesy, hopeful version of myself, she took a little nap and I’m so glad this show, this town, these people, woke her up ✨
