My sister @britneylenna wanted to celebrate Heart Month and Wear Red Day with fun and creativity this year. So thankful for your life and all that is to come for us in this journey! We’re cooking up some really good things.🤭❤️‍🔥

On January 10, 2022, my life paused at 23.
A stroke…still so crazy to say!
No warning. No history. No answers.
Until APLS had a name.

What should’ve been my final semester of graduate school became a lesson in survival fueled by faith in God and the love, care, and prayers of my family and friends.🥹

I made it my mission to become more bold in my advocacy. I started showing up for myself and others! I’m thankful for the role @americanheartnc has played in helping me share my story and gather support for heart disease and stroke in women. Last year, many of you helped me raise funds for local research and advocacy…THANK YOU!

I wear red for every heart, every brain, every story interrupted.

And ESPECIALLY for Black women—
because awareness is not optional,
it’s lifesaving.
