My first job in beauty was on the shop floor at @spacenk 15 years ago, and the staff discount was frankly dangerous.

Some of the products I was obsessed with then are still products I genuinely buy and use now.

@diptyque candles, @tomfordbeauty Black Orchid, @evelom Cleanser and @chantecaille Future Skin - all still here after 15 years of me trying basically everything.

I’m not being paid by any of the calendars in this video, so I brutally reviewed six based on what I actually care about - great products, a bit of magic, packaging that doesn’t offend me for an entire month, and whether I’d genuinely spend my own money on it

Because beauty advent calendars are expensive, enormous and somehow feel like a financial commitment before December has even started. And “worth £1000” is not the same as worth £1000 to YOU.

ad After 15 years working in beauty, if I’m replacing a professional appointment with something I can do at home, I still want the result to look premium.

48 hours at @DaylesfordFarm with @bamfordtheclub for State Shift and I came home thinking about what it actually means to take care of yourself.

We have so many tools for changing how we feel - movement, meditation, good food, sleep, treatments, time away. And I love all of them.

But while sometimes taking care of yourself means shifting your state, other times it means allowing yourself to stay EXACTLY where you are for a while. Not every uncomfortable feeling needs to be fixed, distracted from or turned into a better one.

Maybe the real work is learning to know the difference. 48 very beautiful hours that gave me a lot to think about and I couldn’t be more grateful

We’re back with the podcast clips and this one felt like the right place to restart. Why are women so often taught to be grateful for less?

Less money. Smaller opportunities. Smaller asks. And then somehow made to feel difficult when we want more.

One thing about me, I will NOT be decanting product. Three weeks away meant three weeks of sun, swimming, curls, lazy skincare nights and the inevitable moment my skin decided it had had enough of all of the above. So I packed accordingly.
