POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Finding Stero is not what you think it is.

Then again, neither is the film.

When I started recording and journaling my journey, I had no idea what this story would become.

Life isn't scripted. Sometimes, that's scary. But it's also what makes it exciting.

A special thank you to @thompowers1 , @docubox_eadff and @kachibenson for your insights, feedback, and contributions to this journey. Your perspectives helped me see the story differently and bring it closer to what it needed to be.

Did I find Stero?

You’ll have to watch the film to find out. 🎬

This is the first part of a three-part trailer. Instagram’s reel requirements are to blame for not letting me share the full trailer all at once. But don’t worry...I’ll be posting the next two parts over the next two weeks, so you won’t have to wait long to see how it all comes together. Something to hopefully look forward too.

To those who can’t wait that long, you can watch the full trailer through the link on the post or in my bio. The link also has details of what you can do to watch the final film. It's spoiler free for now.

This wasn't a rehearsed performance. Just a random jam that I can no longer, in good conscience, keep to myself.
Even though struggle has been part of my life, that doesn't make it any easier when you're in the fire. Some days are heavy. Some battles are invisible. Some questions don't have immediate answers.
As Men's Mental Health Month reminds us, there are many things outside our control. But there are also things we can hold onto.
Take a moment to breathe.
The breath that gives you life comes from the Creator of the universe. You're stronger than the world, your fears, or the devil would have you believe. You've survived every difficult day you've faced so far, and you'll get through this one too.
And if you're blessed, as I am, to have amazing people in your life, don't take them for granted. Their value is far greater than many of the goals, possessions, and ambitions we spend our lives chasing.
Check on your people. Talk to someone. Ask for help when you need it. Keep going.
The fire may be hot, but it won't last forever

Improved communication,
Better mental health,
Stronger friendships,
And the sudden realization that hauko peke yako. Tuko pamoja kwa hii safari.

Here’s a glimpse of what you missed at Bush Festival — from the film screening, to the masterclass, to the amazing energy from the students who reminded us why storytelling matters.
Big shoutout to @khaligraph_jones for showing up a true Arsenal ambassador🙏💯. Special shout out to michelle Lemuya from Nawi who is still in school by the way for representing the young people well on screen and having the time to still study.
Excited for the future. The next generation of storytellers is already here ✨ taken in Alliance Boys high school by @its_vsion

This Saturday I had the opportunity to screen my film Everything Is Not Okay at Bush Festival, Alliance High School — this year the theme of the event was centered around mental health and in collaboration with @tungaafrika . After the screening, in collaboration with some amazing people, we held a film masterclass where students not only learned cinematography, but also got hands-on experience helping us document the festival itself.
A reminder that storytelling has always been part of African culture. Before cameras, before cinemas, there were grandparents around fireplaces passing down wisdom through stories. My grandmother was the first person who showed me the power of that.
Seeing young people now use film to tell stories for the next generation — and understanding the power stories carry to heal, challenge, and inspire — gives me a lot of hope for the future.
I’ll be posting some of the videos we worked on tomorrow, so stay on standby 👀🎥
And as we celebrate Arsenal winning the league… let’s try not to rub it in people’s faces too much. Just the right amount 😭🏆 taken in Alliance Boys high school by @its_vsion

“Healed Love” ❤️‍🩹
Last Sunday’s Bible study was about understanding God’s love, not as a feeling that changes with circumstances, but as a choice already made for us long before we understood it ourselves.
Towards the end, we paired up and painted what that love meant to us. This was ours: God’s love made perfect in our imperfections.
Somewhere in the middle of the conversations, I finally understood why, for centuries, girlfriends have asked the “if I was a worm, would you still love me?” question 😂
Beneath the humor is something deeply human:
If I lost what makes me desirable… would I still be worthy of love?
If I lost my beauty, my strength, my certainty… would I still be chosen?
The cross reminds us that the answer was already given.
We were loved before the foundations of the world were laid.
Love sacrificed for you to get this message. That you're worthy of love.
The other paintings carried that same message in different forms : mountains, horizons, birds and adventure reminding us that it is found in the journey; homes representing safety and belonging; the dove symbolizing restoration and the declaration that we are God’s children; and others revealing the difference between fleeting pleasure and healed, restored love. Also a painting of a hug from Jesus.
What made the day even more beautiful was seeing different expressions of love become tangible through art, conversation, laughter, and reflection. And a reminder that we are the only creation God formed with His own hands, not just His word. He took His time with us — fearfully and wonderfully made.
Christian or not, you are loved.
And yes, we had a special visitor… even the praying mantis from Kung Fu Panda somehow made an appearance 😭😂 meeting for
An amazing Sunday. Grateful for the study, the people, and the reminder that even in our brokenness, we are deeply loved. ✨ The love is what makes us whole❤️💯

The first person to ever hold us was in pain…
and still, she smiled.
Women carry more than we see.
They carry life.
They carry communities.
They carry hope — even when systems try to make them feel small.
This is for the mothers.
The girls.
The caregivers.
The women reducing period poverty.
The women fighting for a better world in quiet, powerful ways.
Strength isn’t about how much you can lift.
It’s about how much you overcome — and still choose love.
Tag a woman who shaped your life.
Tell her thank you — publicly.
When women rise, we all rise.
