If you told baby Adam I’d be mixing dance records pressed before I was born on this monster of a soundsystem in Virginia Beach, I would’ve thought you were crazy. Turns out life is crazy!

A joy and a privilege to curate this weekend’s lineup alongside crazy talented besties @pompe.wav + @dj.quasi ❤️

Thank you for dancing with me @rosesva_ ❤️

Incredibly special to share records with my hometown. I’ve been dreaming of nights like this since the days I danced around the kitchen island after school. I’ll see you in July!

Before every set I ask myself, “What should this room sound like?” I don’t always have the answer, but @rosesva_ has a way of creating the energy to find it. Together on this dance floor, we’ve found a space for freedom and connection I never imagined possible back home in Virginia Beach.

Many of the records I play are ones I’ve had transcendent moments to on the dance floor myself. My heart is so full to share those same feelings with the room.

The first friend I made in the record world back home was @kwiggs_, so having him warm up the room brought it allllll full circle.

Thank you to the dancers for your trust, and to the communities and cultures that gave us these beautiful sounds. Music is our great common denominator

From standing against the barricade at a @sigurros show at 16 to getting lost in @bjork’s experimentation via tumblr, Icelandic artists expanded and shaped my idea of creativity just as I was developing my own point of view.

No wonder a tiny island of less than 400,000 people could produce art so outsized with a canvas this beautiful. Forever grateful to experience Iceland’s gifts firsthand, alongside my legend @gregdward 🫶 taken in Iceland by @itsadamward
