Keeping wildlife wild!

That’s our mission at the Florida Wildlife Hospital, and I love getting to be a part of conservation and rehabilitation through my current position. I work as an animal care technician focused within our nursery team. This means the majority of my responsibilities involve nutrition prep, cleaning and treatment of our juvenile and newborn patients. Eventually my role will expand to veterinary technician float, where I’ll be trained with adult patients and laboratory work. Being part of wildlife rescue rehab and release is incredibly fulfilling, and I am really proud of what we do here! taken in Florida Wildlife Hospital by @itsavapeyton

Some trips change your perspective, this one changed me.

I came here hoping to learn about the world around me and left learning just that and more about myself than I ever imagined.

The Galápagos left a mark on me that I’ll carry for the rest of my life (literally, iykyk) and reminded me why I chose this path in the first place.

Forever grateful for this journey and the people I met along the way.
