In honor of our birthday, I would like to share a video created for Bosa’s Celebration of Life service. We hope the viewer feels a glimpse of the impact Bosa left on the world.

She was a trailblazer and her legacy lives on. Our hope is that for many years to come she will be remembered and cherished. When you think of Bosa, remember her fervent love for the Lord, her valor and her resilience. She inspired us every day and I hope her story and journey will inspire you too.

Bosa, this day will always be OUR day. I will always celebrate your life and look back with joy. Thank you God for the 33 amazing years we shared together.

Thought I’d jump on and introduce myself. I’ve been a bit m.i.a on social. I recently survived stage 3 breast cancer!  
God was my help.  God is my help.

A month ago, I had to use the very thing I love, storytelling, for a task I never wanted to face: saying goodbye to my sister @itsbosa

Easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Compiling years of Bosa’s life into one 20-minute video, to honor her life and legacy in front of family and friends. Who doesn’t want that to be perfect? There will never be another Bosa. Her story will be told for generations. I’ll make sure of that.

I was honored to help start that process.
I was humbled by what it cost me emotionally.

To craft a narrative that gave people an inside look at who she really was. I grabbed archival footage. Old podcasts. Interviews. YouTube videos. Social media posts and pictures. Anything that could help paint the picture and tell her story right.

I swear I needed to be two different people to try and emotionally detach from making this video.
One who could feel, and one who could function to finish.

Not sure if this makes sense, but that’s the point.

I learned through this process to wear your heart on your sleeve, to face life and do it messy.

Confront what’s holding you back from expression.
Expression over suppression. Suppression leads to depression. Keep expressing it, instead of burying it.

I’d stop and just cry. Clip after clip. I’d cry out to God in the middle of it.

Bosa, through her story would either motivate me, inspire me, or have me spiraling…. But my peace rests in her love for Jesus.

I’m in New York, so I was screen recording everything, simply trying to get story on to timeline. When I got home to Dallas, 48 hours before the memorial, i rebuilt the thing from there, with two hours to spare…

I’m honored to get to share this video today on August 20th, Bosa and Etin’s birthday.

I am proud of the woman you’re becoming. You have a story to tell that will help free the world. There’s a reason why you’re on this earth and the plan God has for your life, NOTHING CAN STOP.

Just when I thought it was the beginning… you’re gone.

I am completely shattered and broken. My whole world feels like it’s over. I’m trying to be strong but I don’t know how to when you were a part of me. Our lives intertwined and collided. We were a duo that couldn’t be separated. My world - my everything. You gave everything to the Lord even until your last breath.

I miss her so much and just wish she could walk through the doors and I could hug her.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. I may not respond, but know that I am reading all of them and so touched by your messages and prayers. Thank you for being a part of her very colorful and significant life.

Even through the tears and pain, I will still give You praise God. Thank you Lord for giving me the gift of Bosa. Her presence made me look to You. She carried Your presence with authority. She loved, she led, she fought. The wisest, kindest, most creative human. My twin and best friend is with Jesus. I know she is so happy to be with the Father. The pain here on Earth though is unbearable. You will never be forgotten Bosa. NEVER.

Bosa, you influenced the world. I love you and miss you immensely. This is unbearable. Please continue to pray for my family and I.

When God calls, we must answer. Consider the cost yes but always answer the call. It will always be worth it.

My friends and I are building a business with God. He’s our Chairman and foundation.

Agreeing with God is a full surrender to His ways.
I keep hearing a need to be “practical”. I fully believe scripture when it talks about counting the costs and creating plans. We should believe the Bible. And Jesus should also be our example. He did what His Father said. Sometimes I wonder if our forefathers waited to understand God’s plan or if they partnered immediately.

We dishonor God and the relationships He’s trying to use in our lives when we don’t trust Him. We don’t reap all He desired when we don’t let go of control. Faith has been marginalized to a good feeling when it is actually the very thing that pleases God. It is impossible to please God without faith. If God says it, that settles it. Have faith in God. by @itsbosa
