Four years ago I Daddy Warbucks-ed the hell out of this West Virginia yokel and introduced her to the finer things in life, like pro wrestling and Sheetz chicken shnuggets. In return she began to let me in on some of her favorite things, like toppling trash cans and licking big-time butthole.

You could say we’re simpatico like that.

Happy #NationalRadioDay to all my jocks and jerks!

It’s been 12 years since I cracked the mic for my very first college radio show. I can’t remember what I talked about or what kind of music I played (I’d wager Three Days Grace for both), but I remember walking out of the studio afterward with the unshakable belief that is what I was always meant to do.

Since that fateful show I’ve gone on to carve out a pretty sweet niche for myself. I’ve crashed overnight in the studio with only a Kenny Chesney fathead to keep me warm. I’ve stood onstage at a bluegrass festival and completely blanked on the name of the band I was supposed to bring up. I got to cut a badass promo on a WWE wrestler who dared to step into King Country’s™️ home turf. I’ve been front and center to some of the sickest concerts that one could ever attribute their inevitable future tinnitus to. I’ve had the pleasure of watching listeners’ faces light up through something as simple as a pair of seat upgrades or meet-and-greets. I’ve cried on-air from the overwhelming generosity of listeners helping us raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. I’ve flashed my hairy sweaty belly onstage and on the big screen to thousands of concertgoers (no regrets). I’ve been interrogated live on-air by one of the biggest morning shows in NC about my self-touching habits (a few regrets there). And last year I even got to experience the most critical cornerstone of every budding broadcaster’s career (getting laid off).

More than anything though I’ve made lasting friendships with some of the best, most talented sound-slingers on this greenish-brown earth. I wanna thank all of you for your guidance and insight while also lowkey resenting you for giving me mad imposter syndrome.

From college days to the CMAs to the concert stage and everywhere in between, I’m grateful for every step I’ve taken thus far through this wild, unpredictable, bonkers-as-hot-hell industry. And to everyone who’s supported me from the very beginning, I know those first few airshifts were rough so thank you for hanging in there. I’m only getting warmed up. by @itscaseytime

Now that we’ve reached the halfway point of 2026 I should probably get started on my New Year’s resolution to be less obnoxious on social media.
