Returning to @valdemarsslot for Season Two, Pernille With Madsen (@pernillewithmadsen) subtly evolves her monumental installation within the historic Riding Hall.

Building upon her initial vision, she introduces quiet new nuances to this dreamlike archaeological site—where classical fragments emerge from sand and a gold-sealed doorway subtly alters our perception of historical truth.

Season Two draws to a close on the 19th of September.

Final days to catch Sarah Lucas’s brilliant solo presentation at @valdemarsslot, closing on the 19th of September.

Set within the historic Tea Pavilion, her iconic ‘Bunny’ series brings bold anatomical contortions, vibrant colour, and flamboyant footwear into a direct, humorous dialogue with traditional decorum. A quiet disruption in an extraordinary setting.

A few favorite frames from the exhibition above.

Congratulations to Cathrine Raben Davidsen on being commissioned to paint the first official portrait of HM King Frederik X for the historic Great Hall at Frederiksborg Castle.

Having had the pleasure of photographing Cathrine, I have long admired the quiet depth, restraint, and mastery she brings to her craft. To see her join a centuries-old royal tradition at Frederiksborg is a magnificent milestone for an exceptional artist.

The portrait will be unveiled on the 25th of September.

Time is running out to experience Anna Munk’s site-specific exhibition in the Garden Room at Valdemars Slot.

Working with oil paint alongside everyday cosmetics—foundation, lip gloss, eyeshadow, and highlighter—Munk translates Carl Gustaf Pilo’s historical palette into quiet studies of transience. Her atmospheric cloud overdoors and dissolving still lifes sit in direct dialogue with 18th-century portraiture, examining decay and fragility across centuries.

On view at Valdemars Slot through 19 September.

A special note on the gear: I had the absolute pleasure of capturing this beautiful exhibition using the versatile Leica Q3 43, kindly lent to me by the team at @leica_camera_nordics The way it captured Panton’s vibrant colors is quite magical.
