Only a short time left to experience PAPPWELT before it closes on October 31.

In her solo exhibition at Heltborg Museum, Nana RHB takes what is typically discarded—everyday packaging cardboard—and transforms it into a compelling dialogue on beauty, transience, and consumer culture. By unfolding, tearing, and layering boxes marked by printed logos, typography, and worn edges, she merges painting, collage, and photography into textured pictorial surfaces.

From across the room, familiar, classical flower still lifes emerge. Step closer, and the compositions dissolve back into the tactile fragments of daily consumption, giving new life and narrative to materials that have already lived one.
If you are in Denmark, make the trip to see these works in person before the doors close at the end of the month.

Inside the Studio | MatWay – The Neograttage Process

How does a painting emerge through removal?

A glimpse into my studio and the creative process behind Neograttage – a painting technique I developed in 2013.

Working with layers of acrylic paint, I reveal colours and forms by scratching into the surface. Every gesture is irreversible. Every decision leaves a trace.

Last week, we hosted a Housewarming Party at our new home in Copenhagen’s Islands Brygge district. It marked the beginning of the next chapter for von Bartha in Denmark, in a place that allows us to live, host, operate, and explore new ways to mediate and showcase art. In the coming months, we plan to create several custom-made, intimate events and experiences, and, much like a home, this place will be accessible only by appointment or invitation.
Looking back at our gallery activities in the Carlsberg district from 2021 to 2025, we feel joy and satisfaction. Yet, we are highly motivated to set sail for new horizons in this incredible former Pencil Factory building, which once produced Denmark's classic Viking school pencils and which we can now call our home.
To everyone who came out last week to celebrate with us and fill this space with warmth and delight: Thank you. And a special thanks to the @vipp family for inviting us and giving us the opportunity to start anew. We look forward to sharing our future plans with you when the time is right.

Den stedspecifikke og musical-inspirerede Ruinerne af Filip Vest (@filipvest) og Kai Merke (@kai.merke) undersøger rørende og drømmende utopien, og hvad fællesskabet kan rumme, for vi ikke er ens.

En civilisation eller et samfund er gået under, så kun ruinerne står tilbage. I de ruiner er drageungen Blomme, vores hovedperson i forestillingen Ruinerne, vokset op. Blomme er også fortælleren i forestillingen udviklet af kunstneren, Filip Vest og instruktør og koreograf Kai Merke sammen med performerne. Vi ser faktisk også Blomme (fantastiske Hannibal Koch) først ivrigt og snart tænksomt skrive sin egen historie ned med pen, alt imens den udfolder sig for øjnene og ørerne af os på et par halvskjulte bakker på Refshaleøen som en del af festivalen Metropolis (@metropolis_festival).

Still thinking back to this trip. First time visiting Copenhagen & @3daysofdesign and I had an amazing time! Met so many lovely people and can’t wait what’s next. I will be back for sure..

Picture shot on my last day when I met @itsdavydd at the Lattitude exhibition curated by @clairedelmar and offered to take a picture of me surrounded by the collectable design pieces of @danielboddam @sabine_marcelis @marlo.lyda @sarah_nedovic @tom_fereday @okoolostudio curated by @clairedelmar

Unknowingly, I saved one of the best for last. @ukurant_ turned out to be the perfect final stop before heading home. Surrounded by collectible design, it felt like ending the trip on exactly the right note.

And yes… having my @nortvi with me made all the difference. Spacious enough for everything I picked up along the way, easy to manoeuvre through the exhibition, and a design piece in its own right. The kind of suitcase that feels perfectly at home in spaces like these.

A fitting finale to an inspiring journey.
