One thing about getting older is realizing how much you still have to learn.

Some lessons have come easier than others, but I’m grateful for the growth.

And trust me, I’m still learning! 😮‍💨🤎 by @itsdnicole

Just a glimpse of the week.
Cleaning, building, and starting over… all at the same time. ✨

It’s been a while, but I’m back. 👏🏾
Life has been full… school drop-offs, long days, and a whole lot of cleaning without hitting record lol

But this is a small glimpse into what I’ve been building behind the scenes.
Real life. Real work. Real consistency. ✨

To the Black single mom starting over at 40+…

You’re not late.
You’re not forgotten.
And you’re not behind in life.

God is with you in this season,
not asking you to rush,
not asking you to prove anything.

Peace is allowed here.
One step at a time is enough.

This is for the mom over 40 who feels like she’s rebuilding her life one step at a time.

A clean space won’t fix everything, but it can give your mind room to breathe.

You don’t have to do it all to be doing enough.

This is why Haven exists.
Not for perfection, but for peace.

For the busy women, the moms, the ones starting over, sometimes support looks like a reset you don’t have to do yourself.

Happy 18th Birthday to my one and only child! 😢 These years have gone by so fast…I’m still in disbelief but I’m so grateful that GOD blessed me with you! You haven’t given me one issue in 18 years…GOD KNEW…🙌🏾 I pray that you will continue to grow and flourish into the man that I know you can be! I pray that GOD will continue to protect and cover you. 🚨LONG POST ALERT🚨
I’ve been trying to make this post for weeks so here we go! 😅lol

In June I started a 12 week journey, not intentionally trying to lose weight but to feel better overall…At the start I was extremely inflamed, tired all the time, had trouble getting out of bed in the morning, always felt bloated, and was always out of breath. I was easily moved emotionally and mentally by the things going on around me and my patience was 🤏🏾!!

So I made up in my mind that I needed a change and I changed! I was consistent with my eating habits, consistent with walking and working out, and had a few accountability partners to keep me on track! At the end of those 12 weeks, my results were 🔥🔥! Skin popping, waist waisting and body bodying lol I’ve heard about how “small” I am but in reality, I’m still 21 lbs more now than I was when I moved to LA! The weight I have now is the amount of weight my body can handle…gracefully!

I’ve done this challenge a few times but this time I kept the commitment I had to myself!💪🏽😏 there are a little over 12 weeks of results here but y’all get the point! 😁 I’ve learned so much about myself, my health, and my body during this journey & I’m grateful 🙌🏾

Thank you @nelsonjacksoniii for spending so much time perfecting this challenge/experience, researching all of the things lol and holding us accountable to them! I must say…I don’t look too shabby for almost 40😝💁🏽‍♀️ #danielchallenge #danielexperience by @itsdnicole

16?!!!!! I’m a mess lol. I can’t believe my baby is 16. 😩🥲I literally don’t know where the time went but I’m so thankful for this kid right here. God blessed me with the most loving, kindhearted, thoughtful, smart & resilient son. Unbelievably grateful every single day. Happy Birthday to my JJ. I love you beyond words and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for your future. 💙🎊🎉🎂 by @itsdnicole

Grateful…the only word I can use to describe my feelings towards this season! The ways made, doors opened (and closed🙌🏾), my son, my family & friends, new friends turned family, and overall blessings….🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ALL LIT & ALL GOD!!! This pic describes my overall mood..#chillin knowing HE’S GOT ME COVERED!!

In this next season, being a better ME is the goal! Everything else will follow.

P.S. If we met or became friends, maintained or became closer in this last season….y’all are the real MVPs! You made my life that much better🙏🏾💞😘 #blessings #cheerstolife by @itsdnicole

As my grandfather would say…”I’m another day older!” God is good! Here’s to blessing me with 38 of them! 🎉🎁 by @itsdnicole
