Point your camera with purpose, capture the heart of the story. The world needs you to shape the narrative.

In every frame, there’s a story waiting to be told. It’s in the eyes of a nurse tending to a fragile life, in the hum of medical equipment, in the quiet determination of caregivers. Your lens has the power to amplify these moments, to bring them to the world, and to make a difference.

I have chosen to use my craft to highlight the stories that matter. I shoot to inspire, inform, and impact the world in profound ways.

There are many parts to telling a great story, especially when you want to capture the attention of your audience. It can easily become a complicated process and you don’t want that. My dear @kennetholusanya reached out to me a while ago and shared his vision for this masterpiece with me. We discussed how best to execute the audio and video over the phone. Since we @upparuumstudios produced his debut album “Scarlet Whisper” I was certain I knew what he wanted. We planned and prepped, myself, @dare_thecreator @givensmusic @dave_owoseni @directordips @ayomidemaclean all came together to make this masterpiece. Each person played their role perfectly.
In the coming days I’ll be sharing on how we executed this project and share reaction videos we received as feedback. Enjoy the slides and hit the link in my bio to watch full video.

@tedartstudiosacademy called, I pulled up!
I love helping creatives get better at Storytelling. Filming documentaries can be chaotic and overwhelming. In the real world, there's hardly any time so documentary filmmakers must learn to pick up the pace and adapt quickly. Ask yourself, what must I do to get the story, what does it require and what is in the way? Sometimes you may need to set your camera aside for a short while and have a face-to-face conversation with the person whose story you hope to capture. Build a connection, stay present, and listen actively. With these, you'll be off to a good start. by @itsgamie

We arrived in Abuja only to realise that Airpeace forgot our bag in Lagos…. Chai DRAMA!
Abuja wasn’t our destination, the journey was still far, our first stop was Keffi, Nasarawa State and we were already behind schedule. The staff of Airpeace was not even helping, they were all acting like they didn’t know what to do. It took us shouting at them before they finally informed us that they had left our bag in Lagos and pleaded with us to please wait for some hours for another flight to bring it. I was livid!
They almost ruined our plan, but we paused and asked the question. Can we proceed to Keffi without this bag?
Do we have all the gear needed to film the story?
Can we make it work?
Yes! Yes! and Yes!
So we move….

One week. Six days. Five locations. Countless stories. 🎥

This is one of the things I love most about documentary filmmaking.

You get to leave the familiar behind, travel into new communities, experience different cultures, meet incredible people, and most importantly, tell stories that matter through your lens.

Over the past six days, we journeyed from Lagos → Abuja → Keffi, Nasarawa State → Yola → Owerri, Imo State, filming powerful, impact-driven stories along the way.

It was adventurous.
It was physically and mentally demanding.
There were definitely a few stressful moments. 😅

But it was also incredibly rewarding.

Every community reminded me that beyond the cameras, the locations, and the production schedules, documentary filmmaking is ultimately about people; their experiences, their resilience, and the stories they have to tell.

And I’m grateful that we get to be the ones behind the lens, helping those stories reach a wider audience.

Massive love to the entire UPPA RUUM team. ❤️🎥

Another journey. Another set of stories. Another reminder of why I love what I do.

Mash-up videos from a week-long trip across various parts of Nigeria filming strong impact-driven stories. This is one of the perks of documentary filmmaking. Visiting new communities, experiencing various cultures, and meeting beautiful people to tell their stories through our lens. This was adventurous, a little stressful but also rewarding.
