Caregiving as a health diagnosis? Catch me on the Tamron Hall Show this Friday!

I think caregiving is a deep act of love, BUT the body keeps the score.

This Friday, the Tamron Hall Show is devoting a full episode to this pressing question.

My answer is YES! And when I say "diagnosis", I don’t mean disease, but being SEEN.

I've learned firsthand through my own caregiving experiences, what it means to be the "invisible second patient". Your own health needs, sleep and well-being quietly disappear while you're fighting for someone you love.

There are now over 60 million family caregivers in America, and yet our healthcare system barely sees them. My proposal is to get caregiving as a "diagnosis" in the healthcare system (which as we all know, only operates on billing codes 😂).

That way, we can SCREEN, CODE, TRACK and TREAT it - and caregivers can get support before their own health becomes a crisis.

Thank you to Tamron Hall for bringing this urgent conversation to a national audience, alongside incredible voices sharing their caregiving journeys.

TOMORROW.

There’s something powerful about stepping away from the noise, getting out into nature, and giving yourself permission to pause, reflect, and reconnect.

Tomorrow, we’re gathering for the 2nd Annual Reflections Hike, a morning centered around reflection, mindfulness, self-love, and intentional connection.

This isn’t just a hike.

It’s an opportunity to check in with yourself.

To think about where you’ve been.

To acknowledge how far you’ve come.

To release what no longer serves you.

To get clear about where you’re going.

And to do it alongside people who are also making space for themselves.

We’ll hike, meditate, journal, reflect, and connect while enjoying the beauty of Panola Mountain State Park.
