finally getting to this post 2 months later when my body and mind has fully recovered 😅 first marathon in the books!!

went out strong and was on pace for a 3:07, but then the famed mara monster kicked in at 30km and my body gave up on me. Managed to hobble to the finish in 3:24:59 - happy to have finished, but so much room to improve next time!

Massive shoutout to the best support squad on the day, not sure I would have pushed through to the finish without you all 🙏🏻 and special shoutout to @fe3bee for staying up late the night before making the signs ❤️ by @itskyrk

2022 was an absolute ordeal, but i learned and grew so damn much 📈

Music wise, I took a step back and a bunch of steps forward. I spent the first half of the year writing some of the best songs I’ve ever written, and reached more people than ever before when I started to share them thanks to TikTok (after being a sceptic for years) 🎥

I only managed to release one of them this year, but Half Of My Heart is easily my most successful release to date - and more importantly, the stories people have shared over their connection with it have brought me so much joy 🥰

Life wise, so much happened - I started the best day job I’ve ever had that gives me space to keep creating outside, I bought an apartment, I fell in and out of love for the first time in a long time (thx for the songs), and I hit fitness goals that I never thought I’d reach 🏃‍♂️

Towards the end of the year, music took a step back while life took over for a while, but that’s okay - I’m back and ready to write, share, and release more and more music in 2023. Starting with a new song dropping on Jan 13th 👀👀👀 by @itskyrk

Introducing Bondi based, Aussie indie-pop singer-songwriter, KYRK.

Inspired by artists like Dean Lewis, Lauren Spencer-Smith and Clinton Kane, KYRK has a passion for raw and authentic storytelling and combining with expressive vocals and energetic beats to highlight and express struggles and intense emotional experiences.

His latest personal pop-acoustic ballad 'Half Of My Heart' dives into a story of falling in love with someone who has past hurt and is afraid of loving again. The song is about showing that person how much you truly want to be with them.
