The first question people ask when they hear we live in a caravan with five kids is:

“How does your marriage survive in such a small space?” 😅

Fair question tbh

Small space. Five kids. Homeschooling.
Not a lot of places to hide from each other 😂

Butttt I was never actually concerned about this for us. And living this way has def made us a better team.

How do we get 1:1 time without the kids? You get inventive 🙊

I didn’t think a camping mat would change our setup this much… but here we are 🙌🏼

We are a fam of 7 so naturally keeping the van clean is a task. This @salty.aura mat is HUGE and exactly what I wanted. You can see in the vid me contemplating how to unfold it fully without moving the truck- couldn’t- Sam sorted for me since I still don’t know how to drive it 😂🫠

It’s made our space even more vibey and given the kiddies another big play space. Win win!

10/10 recommend. Gorg quality and amazing vibe.

One year ago we were getting ready to sell our “dream house”. I mean, it was a dream house. Until it wasn’t. We had no idea how we would make this work, how quickly the house would sell, if we would walk away with enough $$ after only having it for 18 months. We were stressed. I was grieving my dad HARD, and we were juggling FIFO life and 5 babies.

It all worked out. It’s all still working out. You’ve just gotta go for it.

Okayyyy so everything DIDNT go to plan as you can imagine with travelling with 5 kids. We were ambitious doing this hike when hubs and I were buggered already but we really wanted to take the kids to such a cool spot.

Did they complain? A little 😂
Were there some minor injuries? Yes ❤️‍🩹
Did they all say they loved it? Big fat yes.

Worth it! Even though Sam and I were mentally wrecked by the end from all the calamities and regulating of the kids 😂🫶🏼

Not every day goes perfectly but tbh every day is pretty perfect 🥹❤️

Literally you GOTTA have good camp chairs. It’s literally a must. And space is also sooooo important when you’re living in your caravan full time 👌🏼

I am a suckerrrrr for aesthetically pleasing camping gear so these chairs (and anything!!) from @sunniscenes is legit a no brainer. Neeeeed one of everything 😍😍

It’s amazing how one little story can spark SO much imagination 🥹🫶🏼

With five kids of all different ages, finding something they all genuinely enjoy together is really bloody awesome.

Lately, The Last Airbender Tonie has been a huge hit in our caravan. One minute they’re curled up listening, and lol the next they’re outside mastering the four elements and turning Levi into the enemy (tbh this is pretty usual for us lol) 😂

What I love most about our @tonies_anz Toniebox 2 is the sparking of their imaginative play. The stories don’t end when they stop listening and instead they inspire a whole new world of play without screens and that’s suuuuper important for our family.

Added bonus, it’s soft, squishy and sturdy enough to keep up with the chaos of five kids and life in a caravan.

A little box bringing a whole lot of imagination into our days (and saving a tired mama at bedtime 😂)❤️

We’ve been in the caravan for 9 months…. Do we regret it?!

Not for a second. Nothing about it makes us regret choosing to live this way 🫶🏼 this was our first BIIIIG trip in the rig as we’ve been based in Isa for work since Jan and we LOVED IT!!

Was the fuel expensive? Absolutely lol. Like Sam told me how much we spent in fuel today and I was like 🫠🤯🤯. But it is what it is.

Did we do way too much driving at once? Yes. Will NOT be doing 13 hour drives as a usual. Absolutely not.

Did the kids drive us mad? Yes hahahaha. We def had our moments 😂 but it was so much fun and I can’t wait to get outta Isa and explore more of this country (NSW coast!!)

If you’re travelling- did you ever have “oh shit what have we done?!?” Moments??
