Fee Fie Foe turned 17 yesterday, which means we can get a provisional drivers’ license, donate blood and fly a plane. Maybe 17 is a milestone that stands for freedom, generosity and, well, learning to fly.

What started as three friends trying to figure out a way to work with each other as often as possible, progressed through our ‘Fee Fie Foe is a concept not a company’ phase and has landed us here, a filmmaking collective continuing to make new work that excites us.

We tend to do things quietly, our process takes time and we’re all involved in everything each other does. Down the years, we’re proud to say that we’ve won a BAFTA, an Emmy, a BIFA, a Grierson and a Peabody, but above all else, we really just love the process and the work. And now, working with new and exciting filmmakers on projects that they care deeply about, FFF grows in fresh ways.

Thank you to all our collaborators over the years who have made the journey profoundly worth it. Making films is a privilege and it’s hard. To everyone out there doing it, huge respect. Let’s keep supporting each other.

So, on we go, with some wonderful prospects ahead of us and to two of my best friends, Pete and James, thanks for the the faith, for the advice, for the oranges. Longevity is not to be underestimated. I’m still inspired by you in all sorts of ways and proud to be one third of this indefinable triangle.
