Can you imagine what these Dystopian, Hopeless, Bunkered Billionairres are doing right now, with this end-of-times AI scare we’re witnessing? (Check Naomi Klein’s latest - just released a book [END TIMES FASCISM} - she’s all over the internet at the moment.) Will humanity do what’s right with these people? Strip them of their wealth and power? And then change the system permanently so that no such people could ever rise to such positions of power and influence ever again. I LOVE THE EARTH! #notodystopianfuture #naomiklein #endtimesfascism #motherearth by @itsmattjenson

This is our LAST performance at Long Live and in Boston and the East Coast. Why? Drum roll….because I’m moving to California in the new year. For years now, I’ve been developing a love affair with Redwood trees, the Pacific ocean, the warmer climate and creative artistic energy out there. Making this kind of move is exciting, a true re-birth, but also comes with trepidation and a bitter sweet feeling of saying farewell to so much that I love in the Boston/New England area.

So please, come to the Long Live Beerworks (152 Hampden st. Boston, 6-9pm) and celebrate this transition with us. I’ve been working with these musicians for close to 2 decades and with Manolo for over 2 decades and I love playing with them. We’ll be playing our Latin-Jazz and Reggae-Jazz MIX UP!

Manolo Mairena - congas, vocals
Winston Maccow - bass, vocals
Bertram Lehmann - drumset
Your Fav - keys and vocals

Who’s going to join me at Deep End Live, Redondo Beach (Los Angeles) tomorrow night 7/17/26 to see my friend and Groundation drummer, Zach Morillo in performance on his Nomadic Frequencies tour?? I’m psyched to check the experimental electronic vibes with….drums, sitar and who knows what else these creatives bring forward. #morillo #nomadicfrequencies #deependlive #redondobeach taken in Deep End Live by @itsmattjenson

So great to spend an afternoon with my friend OMAR LEDEZEMA on the island…of Alameda (east Bay, CA). Can’t wait to start jamming with him. He’s a great singer and conga player. Used to play in my Latin party band, Combo Sabroso back when he was at Berklee (not Berkeley, ha!). Oye!! #salsamusic #latinjazz #alameda taken in San Anselmo, California by @itsmattjenson
