Feeling all of the feelings now that Maxon’s album ‘Talking with Strangers’ is out in the world. Thanks to everyone who contributed your magic to it. It was a journey, and so is the album - in the best of ways. A real album. Not just a collection of songs, but a collection of souls in a magical dance from start to finish. I hope every album I make feels like this from now on. Please take 44mins out of your week and take a listen. There’s a song in there that’ll speak to you, I promise! taken in Abbotsford Convent by @itsmemaxon

Talking with Strangers Album Tour

Following the release of her debut album Talking With Strangers, Maxon is bringing the songs on the road in an intimate duo performance with longtime collaborator Nay Pattuwage (Like Bear).

These special shows strip the songs back to their heart, showcasing the rich harmonies, honest storytelling and warm connection that have become Maxon’s signature. Featuring fan favourites including Little Blue, Everybody and 18, alongside new unreleased music heard live for the first time, this is an evening of heartfelt folk, laughter and stories that invite audiences to slow down, sing along and feel deeply.

Named by Rolling Stone Australia/NZ as one of the Best Australian Music of the Week (6–12 April), Maxon’s debut album Talking With Strangers has been connecting with audiences through its honest storytelling and heartfelt songwriting. Whether you’re discovering Maxon for the first time or have been following the journey of Talking With Strangers, this intimate performance offers a chance to experience the songs exactly as they were written: up close, personal and full of heart.

‘NOBODY LOSES_MIX6’

Surprise!

‘Cause we’re all about embracing imperfection nowadays… 💁‍♀️ Here’s a pretty close mix AND the first listen to who Wakers are. (Seriously, we haven’t shared this with anyone except those who have been part of the production).

These girls just wanna have fun.

Nobody Loses came from feeling held down by a situation, waiting for things to change whilst in the hands of someone else. Love is a two-way street, and this street was pot holes. We both felt that we could either wait around in the dark until we heard word, or we could realise it had gone too far and there was no longer a desire to come back.

It wasn’t sad in the end. We had something to gain out of the experience, and in this case, that something was Nobody Loses. A mantra, and a great lesson.

And these days, it’s less about getting to the finish line first, and more about running a good and FUN race.

We’ll tell you more in the coming days.

Max & Nay

Thank you all SO much for the love on my last post 💙 honestly wasn’t expecting such a beautiful response.

A few of you have asked how to vote, so I thought I’d make a quick step-by-step guide. Swipe right for instructions!! 🚨

If ‘Strangers’ has ever meant something to you, I’d be so grateful for your support in the @unsignedonly Fandemonium public vote. It only takes a minute, and you can vote once a day until August 28th.

Every vote helps this song travel a little further into the world too. Thank you for being here, it means more than you’ll ever know!!!
