A successful date night. 🧸
A little date night before life gets a little different. 🥹

My boyfriend travels a lot for work and will be gone for most of the month. I’ll still see him in between, and one of the things I’m really grateful for is that the freedom of my job means I can sometimes pack my bags and go with him too.

Honestly, I’m excited. New places, new experiences, getting out of my routine a little… but I’m also nervous about the time apart.

So lately we’ve been making more of an effort to actually date each other. Getting dressed up, trying new places, putting our phones down and creating memories while we’re both home.

I think that’s something I’m learning about relationships too sometimes life changes, schedules change, and you just have to be intentional about choosing each other through all of it.

I spent so long becoming the version of me everyone else was comfortable with, I almost forgot who I was without the mask.

Turns out, I actually really like her.

Less performing. Less explaining. Less trying to look like I have everything figured out.

Just me a little weird, a little chaotic, still figuring things out, and probably the happiest I’ve been in a long time.

I think this chapter is less about becoming someone new and more about finally being comfortable being who I already was. 🤍

I’ve done hair long enough to know that shine and healthy-looking hair are NOT the same thing. 👀
