Donor anonymity can no longer be assumed as a long-term guarantee. As genetic testing and information-sharing continue to evolve, more families are taking a proactive approach by registering with donor sibling registries and considering how future connections may be navigated.

DM us if you want to talk through disclosure and registries as part of your own family-building path.❤️ by @itsnascency

For six years, our home was full of hope, and painfully quiet.

We started with IVF, sure it would be the answer. Then came the injections, the retrievals, the embryo transfers, and the two-week waits. Over and over, we heard the words no one trying to conceive wants to hear: “I’m sorry, it didn’t work.” Each failed IVF cycle took a little more of our hope.

When our doctor told us carrying a pregnancy might not be possible, we thought our dream of becoming parents was over. It wasn’t. It was just taking a different path.

Surrogacy gave us that path. An incredible gestational surrogate carried our little one for nine months with more care than we could have asked for. She didn’t just carry a pregnancy. She carried our hope when we couldn’t anymore.

Now every giggle fills the silence infertility left behind. This is the sound we waited six years to hear, and it was worth every single day. 🤍

If IVF hasn’t worked for you, it doesn’t mean your story is over. Learn how surrogacy can help you build your family. The link is in our bio.❤️

14 eggs. 2 embryos. 1 transfer that didn’t work. Then one that did.

If your numbers are dropping at every stage of IVF, you’re not doing anything wrong. On average, only about a quarter to a third of retrieved eggs become embryos ready for transfer. The drop-off is part of the process, even when it feels personal.

Every round counts, even the ones that didn’t work.

If IVF has you wondering what comes next, including surrogacy, the Nascency team is here to walk you through it. Link in bio to book a call.❤️ by @itsnascency

Cumulative IVF success rates climb with each additional round for many patients, the live birth rate after three or four cycles is meaningfully higher than after the first. The data backs up something a fourth round already knows in her body: this isn’t wishful thinking, it’s math working in her favor over time.

That’s not the version of the story people usually hear. Round four gets read as desperation, as not knowing when to stop. It’s the opposite. She’s not ignoring the odds, she’s using them.

If someone you love is mid-round right now, save this for the day they need to hear it wasn’t for nothing.

Every round counts, even the ones that didn’t work.

If IVF hasn’t led where you hoped yet, DM us — we’ll walk you through what surrogacy looks like as another path forward.❤️ by @itsnascency

The aunt who texts about something totally unrelated on a hard day. The sister who never asks “any updates?” The best friend who just remembers the transfer date, no reminder needed.

None of them are the parent in this story. But all of them are doing some of the most important work in it.
Infertility and IVF are hard to talk about even with the people closest to you. So when someone gets it without needing it explained, that’s not backup support. That’s main support. The kind that shows up consistently, asks for no credit, and rarely gets any.

This one’s for the aunt, the sister, the best friend who’s been doing exactly that. Not because it needed saying because it was overdue.

Tag the person who’s shown up for you like this. 💛 by @itsnascency

A failed transfer isn’t a stopping point clinically, it’s information. It tells the team which embryo, which protocol, which timing might work better next time. That’s what a second attempt actually is: not starting over, just trying again with more data than you had the first time.

For families who add a surrogate into that second attempt, there’s an extra layer most people don’t think about you’re not just waiting on your own body anymore, you’re building trust with someone else’s. That waiting looks different. It’s shared.

The version of this story I feared most is the only version that gave me my daughter.
If a transfer hasn’t held for you and you’re weighing what comes next, message us we’ll talk through whether a surrogate could be part of your path forward.

Larissa a three-time surrogate and her first reason for looking into it wasn’t a stranger’s story, it was a promise she made to her aunt as a teenager.
“I told her, when I’m old enough, I’ll carry a baby for you.”

If your own reason for looking into surrogacy started somewhere personal, you’re not the only one, a lot of surrogates’ stories start there, not with an ad. For Larissa, the specific promise she made didn’t end up being the one she kept, but it’s what led her to carrying for three separate families instead.

Nascency Voices is where real stories live. Surrogates, intended families, and reproductive health professionals share their experiences honestly, in their own words
so others can see what this journey looks like through the people who’ve lived it. As part of our mission, every interviewee earns a gift card or makes a donation to @resolveorg , @marchofdimes or @thesurrogacyfoundation
