Because normal people struggle with anxiety. Normal people have relationship stuff. Normal people question themselves, and overthink, shut down, avoid hard conversations, and wonder if they’re “too much.”

On FlyDubai flight FZ 1073, passengers and crew stepped up to stop an attack in the air, and I want to talk about what living with constant threat does to people: for most, the response to trauma is resilience, and some experience PTG. None of that makes war good, and PTSD is real and devastating. It does mean people adapt to terrible circumstances more than we expect.
