Loving you 🧡🌊 by @itsocbaby

The myth of the Trevi Fountain goes like this: If you throw one coin: you will return to Rome. If you throw two coins: you will fall in love with an attractive Italian. If you throw three coins: you will marry the person that you met. Well, I already fell in love and married an attractive Italian, so, I’ll just toss one coin ;) happy first year married let’s try for two @_juliaviola by @itsocbaby

Julia and Olivia’s journey was filled with twists and turns, but their love and positivity made every moment fun to watch as they overcame each challenge together. Give it up for team BAM-BAM! by @itsocbaby

WOW🥹❤️ Where do I even begin? We started off with this crazy dream…years & years later it turned into a reality & surpassed even our wildest imaginations. This was one of the craziest, most incredible & unique experiences of our lives that put us through a rollercoaster of emotions. Stress, anxiety, exhaustion, fear, hope, exhilaration, thrill, excitement. ABOVE ALL - happiness, gratitude, & pride. It was honestly one of the greatest joys of my life to compete with you as my wife & teammate, cheering you on & watching you succeed as you smashed every challenge & roadblock. I’m forever so proud of you - our excitement, love & elation was clearly showcased with every celebration 🤍

We always pictured ourselves winning the Amazing Race Canada, with 100% confidence & total belief in each other. Things didn’t end the way we wanted, our time definitely came too soon & we had so much more in us to give. I struggle with bouts of sadness over how it ended & what could have been. Things didn’t go our way that day, but we fought until the very end, never gave up & soaked up every last minute.

We weren’t going to let anything bring us down. We kept our smiles all the way to our last pitstop, even as Jon told us the bad news. Although I was totally heartbroken, my immediate first response was pure gratitude. We got everything we wanted out of this race & more.

We got to travel & see Canada, we got to to do incredible thrilling challenges, we got to learn new skills & try new things, to meet incredible people & make new friendships, we got out of our comfort zone & tackled tough obstacles, we were challenged physically & mentally, we pushed our way through hardship, cheered each other on & supported each other no matter what, & created memories that will last a lifetime. No one can ever take that away from us. All the things that create the true spirit of Amazing Race 🇨🇦

To top it off… we won our DREAM HONEYMOON TO ITALY in leg 5 & now we get to CELEBRATE 🇮🇹🥂

Anything that comes in our way doesn’t stand a chance & how we ran the race as a TEAM makes me 10000% confident of that. Together we can do anything 🤍 I LOVE YOU @itsocbaby💋ONWARDS & UPWARDS😤 by @itsocbaby

LEG 3 of @amazingracecda 🇨🇦 starting in the Sunshine Coast, to Granville Island Vancouver, Richmond and ending in Penticton!

A lot of travelling, a mix of driving and taxis, and a lot of “plotting” and “drama” surrounding the U-TURN vote in this leg! Not something anyone was expecting as it’s never been done before on the Amazing Race Canada. This leg was hectic and not one of our favourites, but we stayed in the mix of things and trekked our way through. Super proud of us as we kept our composure even though we had to start at the back.

This leg had a few fun challenges - Salish Soils was such a PHYSICAL and tiring challenge but it’s one of things we excel at. All that endurance training pays off somewhere 🤪

Granville Island Public Market challenge had the usual chaos of a big city market shopping & delivery challenge. It was going pretty well until we ran into more taxi 🚕 trouble!

The 🀄️ Mahjong challenge was super fun. Having never seen it before it was interesting to pick up the different suits and ask the tournament players for help to understand and organize the tiles. These kinds of challenges, similar to puzzles is what Olivia & I can do really well at, so we got it pretty quickly! I loved our celebration here, we’re always so pumped up and proud of each other 💛

Ending the leg by flying to Penticton for a few surprises! Jon was waiting for us on Penticton beach to announce the awesome news Collin & Matt won Leg 3 and a trip to Madagascar 🏆 ✈️ since they got to the U-turn board first, and Jon also revealed the votes of the U-Turn. PLOT TWIST the U-turned team (K&G) would also get to U-Turn a team of their choosing… which is where Leg 4 officially kicks off.
