June dump. ☀️

From speaking at an event in St. Maarten and connecting with Winnie Harlow in NC, to officially rebranding The Vitiligo Group and launching Vancouver Vitiligo Week with a proclamation from the Mayor, FIFA matches in Vancouver, concerts with friends, bike rides with my older brother, and so many moments worth remembering.

This June was a big one. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s coming next.

Happy Pride, Happy Vitiligo Awareness Month, Happy World Vitiligo Day. Happy birthday, Marshall. 🐾 Happy birthday to me, welcome to The Vitiligo Group, and wishing us a great Vancouver Vitiligo Week to come. ✨

I started the ’90s with pretty typical teenage skin.

Then near the end of the decade, around 18, vitiligo appeared as a tiny heart-shaped spot right in the centre of my forehead.

By the time the ’90s were over… that little heart was hidden under layers of makeup.

This is Omar.

An amazing ambassador, human, and friend of Aetherhaus. @itsomarsharife sheds his light and inspires those around him.

A gentle reminder that there is power in connection + in choosing to see beyond our differences. by @itsomarsharife

Forty-something, built from experience, and still in motion.

Intentional about what I’m building and how I want to show up. This chapter is about evolution, not reinvention.

When was the last time this happened? We’ll wait 👀 ✈️

Making history in the skies for Vancouver Vitiligo Week! Moments like this are all about driving visibility, representation, and real community.

Thanks @harbourair ✈️

Omar’s been standing up in the vitiligo advocacy space for a long time and it’s been an honour to watch him empower himself and those around him. His point has always been beautifully simple. Everybody’s dealing with something, and the hard thing doesn’t have to be the whole story. There’s places to go, people to be around, and a life to keep living. Big love always, Omar. by @itsomarsharife

When standing out is second nature, coming together as a community changes the game entirely. 🔥

There’s a power in squad goals done right—sharing epic experiences, taking on new adventures, and celebrating who we are, completely unfiltered and effortless.

Honestly, if you would have told us a few years ago that The Vitiligo Group would be taking over a floatplane together as a community, who would have thought? ✈️✨

Seeing Vancouver from above on a scenic tour is special on its own, but having the ability to charter the entire floatplane with @harbourair for our group made the whole experience unforgettable. Taking off together over the harbor and sharing that sky-high perspective with our community was next level. 🏔️🌊

From an idea to an official city proclamation. 📜❤️

When Mayor Ken Sim and the City of Vancouver officially proclaimed Vancouver Vitiligo Week, it was the exact push I needed to take the leap and launch our very first international group event.

@kensimcity @cityofvancouver

Fast forward to August 16th, and we had nearly 40 people travel from across the globe to connect, explore, and share this moment together. 🌍✨

This framed document represents community, courage, and a whole new chapter. It sets the stage for future adventure-based meetups around the world.

Stay tuned for details on next year’s Vitiligo Week event and many more group adventures to come! 🏔️🌊

Grateful to everyone who helped make this historic week possible!

We would have been about 23 years old in this picture. One heart shaped vitiligo spot on my forehead covered with heavy makeup. The only thing multicoloured about me back then were my frosted tips 🕶️😎

We first met Omar years ago at a Ted Talk that he did. His desire to share his story to help others with Vitiligo felt inspiring and we had many chats about the potential of doing a video together. We re-met through the opening of AetherHaus and he naturally joined the team of Ambassadors. I’m stoked to see this video finally come to life. Big love to you Omar. by @itsomarsharife

50 shades of vitiligo! 🙈😂❤️
