2 weeks ago, I moved from Sydney to SF.

yeah.. the very far down edge of the earth: Australia.

this period reminds me a lot of the 15 yo me, when she had just moved from China to the US by herself, not speaking a word of English.

ofc I’m much better off than her. I speak the language now, studied 8 years in the States, and have solo-traveled to 12 countries.

but I am no different than her. I have to start from scratch, make a life of my own here in SF.

challenges are what make this journey worth taking. Learning, growing, and healing are a continuous journey.

you don’t have to be entirely certain to decide.
you don’t have to be fully qualified to shoot your shot.
you don’t have to be completely healed to be loved.

so, make your own journey!

you’ve done it before.
you’ve done it so well.

I FILMED A DATING SHOW IN CHIANG MAI!!!

These past two weeks have been the most visceral chapters of my life. 🫧

To be part of a Chinese queer production, to be with so many queer women who share the same cultural roots and personal journeys was surreal. For me, this experience has hugely normalized women loving women in this patriarchal, heterosexual-dominated society.

Back in the day, I questioned whether I might be a queer. “I don’t desire a woman the way I desire a man. It’s impossible that I could like a girl in ‘that’ way,” I told my friends.

I thought that self-objectifying relationships with men were how it was supposed to be.

Until three years ago, when I fell in love with a girl, I was terrified. The pre-programmed homophobia in me made me deny and hate this part of myself for a long time.

But then I got to see and experience the tenderness, the care, the unspoken connections—the bond we commonly share with women, romantic or not.

Nuanced, intertwined.
We all carry different stories. And at the core of it all are our hearts — what brought us together in the first place: to empower and to bloom.

For that, as a community member, I am eternally grateful.

坐上清迈去往墨尔本的航班上，给为期11个月的旅居生活画上句号。

年初毕业踏上这段旅程时，我永远也想不到这个章节会落笔澳洲。当时，我对未来茫茫一无所知。我有的，是离开波士顿的两个背包，一路上的感受与觉察。遇到惊喜的人和事。所有的这些，计划中的和冥冥之中的，都带我来到了人生这个节点。

这是我第二次长期移居一个新国度。第一次是9年前，15岁的我只身去往美国开启了异国的学习生活。第二次是现在，去澳洲打工度假。

这次的迁移，少了几年前语言不通的焦虑挫败、少了孤身一人的害怕。我最大的感受是好奇。

好奇自己如何一手打造新的生活。
好奇她人娓娓道来的故事。
好奇许多魔法般的链接。
