Top of the Slops Inspiration Week: Duane Nasis-Absolutely thrilled to have been able to create this act for @topoftheslops, I knew coming in I wanted to create a boylesque routine inspired by @duanenasis, who has been a part of my creation as a drag and burle performer since the start during @bittenpeachuk Peach Fuzz. I loved being able to rearrange his movements and combine my own to create a little piece leaning into his Mssrs. Sweet & Sour performances, and of course, involving a little yearning prop bit. Feel very thrilled with how well-received this was (tied with @jayyule!), especially as I had several hiccups pre-show that sent me for a mental headspin. ~ Of course you're tired, you're ancient. We still have work to do. ~×After years of saying I'd finish making my Jaheira cosplay, she's finally nearly(!!) done 🌱 I easily had my most packed weekend ever having drag shows before and between MCM, but I wouldn't have it any other way 💕 I had the most wonderful time cosplaying her at @mcmcomiccon with @sosoukoku (props to them for helping me glue the final pieces of her together as I ran to perform at Slaystation the day before comic-con), and I was so warmed by the love people had for her despite being a non-origin companion in BG3. She's one of my favourite characters in the game and I knew early on she was the one companion I had to cosplay! @itsrencarnation delivered a very poignant and emotional piece on our stage for Utopia Technology is rewriting our lives, this is not news, but since the advent of AI and the further developments and advancements in the field, that statement is filled with more worry.Relationships have already begun to be affected by the usage of AI bots and their sycophantic behaviour, but the links are various… how talking to these machine will affect the humans is still cause of concern and many, many questions. But in some cases, it’s already proven dire. HE'S AN UNDE@D WINNER, BABY ✨️-Thrilled to show off my sideshow and design chops to @topoftheslops for Folk Week. This costume and act was made with all my love to Chinese & HK supernatural horror flicks, a vibrant but struggling genre tamped down by government censorship.While I spoke a little of its origin, the 殭屍 is much more than a spooky monster. It's a fascinating folktale born from the practical funerary job of carrying the bodies of loved ones who worked as labourers in the city back to their villages for burials by tying them in rigid upright positions on bamboo sticks, thus creating the legend of a hopping, rigor mortis-trapped zombie 🧟‍♂️I feel so honoured to win with @mitzi.fitz, a legend of her own, and with an act I can only describe as a brilliantly funny polar opposite of mine. Thank you to the judges for their kind words, to be told I carry people into new worlds with my art is magical. I can't wait to bring my rigid corpse to more people 💕 Next week is Silver Screen & Burlesque week, and I cannot emphasize enough how excited I am for this new act I'm making. crawled back out from the dark with this one-So so pleased to have been able to perform as Koh the Face Stealer, he's such a specific, niche act I rarely do, but when @cryptidqueerssheffield asked me to come to Sheffield with him I jumped at the chance, and what an incredible gig it was! The gasp in the crowd when the A:TLA audio started was so worth it xDevastatingly due to the chaos of train delays the next day, his head went missing and was never found by train staff. I can only assume some idiot stole the bag it was in, only to realize all they got was glitter-infested sofa upholstery foam with a toupee. So whenever Koh returns I'll have rebuild my first ever drag headpiece 🥹This look also utilizes several of latex faces I painted inspired by local London drag artists, so it feels like a great segue to say I've been nominated for Nice Cup O' Cocoa (aka Best Mug) award for @thedraggies! It's such a lovely honour, and the event is built to fundraise for trans healthcare so please get your tickets and finalists votes (for me. but also other people) in!
