Day 123 as a CEO: August, did its thing. 🥹

I’m still shocked, trying to find words and I will eventually. I’m just really freaking honored that people trust me enough to help them. In 1 transaction, we closed 1.5 million for a creative, Black owned business that really deserved it.

1.2 million to go until we hit our 3 million dollar goal. For Indie Creator Fund. (This is…crazy. Wow.)

As we continue to grow within our Afro-Caribbean community, we are so excited to have Robin Johnson @itsrobinj as one our panelists representing Jamaica 🇯🇲. She is a founder and systems builder whose career spans Netflix, Apple, and Uber, where she specialized in turning complex product ideas and creative ambition into scalable execution without losing the vision in the process.

I wrote this on a really challenging day this year. I’ve been stuck between identities: fundraising techish founder building a gaming universe while trying to change the world vs the closet writer who secretly designs & wants to create more games. I think I’ve been 👌🏾close to packing it all up 100x this year. I realized when I finished writing that I’m often afraid to be all of me because for a really long time I was forced to choose. It’s over for that. I’m inspired by a lot of people who do both so thank you. And cheers to not choosing. 🥂

(My homie said this is an open letter for scary ass creatives & if that’s you don’t worry this is a safe space)

Day 910. That’s how many days I’ve been a full-time founder. I haven’t spoken to you this way since Day 100. IDK where time has gone, but I realize I was so lost in the work I stopped counting. So my bad, but I promise my silence had purpose.

Since I last left you a love note, everything’s changed. My conviction got stronger. My patience for progress got shorter. And I execute faster and more often than I ever have. The world changed too. It’s darker than I remember. I hate that for us.

In the silence, I’ve been studying economics, behavior, and community. We’ve been building systems for ownership and creativity that have been sacred, beautiful, and progressive. And now, we share them with the world.

This next chapter is called: I Dare You to Create.
It’s a challenge based card game that gets you unstuck. So all those ideas you’ve tucked in your notebook? You can finally finish them. And to change this… “situation” where in. We NEED to finish.

Bring your idea to the deck. Execute like your favorite founder does. Often. And quickly.

The world has changed. Your work is how we fight back. Reminder that you’ve always had great ideas. I invested $2 million in some of them. Now, execute. I dare you.
