I’ve been trying not to combust but I’m ready to Christmas 🎄 😂
As you’ve seen on my stories we’ve been prepping, shopping and here are some of the things we’ve got so far

This year there will quite a bit of DIY so we need to practice so it doesn’t turn into an epic flop!!

I’ve come to realise that no matter how much space you have, there will be a corner that’s your fave little spot and this right here is mine.
The Green room, as I like to call it, didn’t have a sofa in it for over a year. I knew this room was going to be my place so I waited to find the right one. I can get all cosy and literally melt into it.
As they say and as I keep telling everyone, home takes time. Don’t rush a purchase just do it can be “done”, take your time so it’s just right for you. by @itstheamps

Happy Monday instafam. Long time no cute pics. David and I said bye to summer by wearing some outfits that are about to be tucked away ahead of the coming cosy season.

That being said, now that summer is over I can’t start getting ready for Christmas 🎄🎄

AD| Everyone warns you that renovating a house together will test your marriage. They were right, just not about the money.

The fights were greige vs grey. Stair runner or no runner. Whether a hidden utility door is genius or a waste of a wall. The money side? Somehow the easy part - because it was all already in one place.

We had a @starlingbank joint account the whole time. Shared spending, every reno cost, one clear view, no back-and-forth transfers and neither of us ever in the dark. We split it into Spaces so every Space had a job (yes, including the ‘why is flooring this expensive?!’ Space).

Turns out being good with money wasn’t the hard part. Agreeing on paint was.

I’ve been wanting to have my brows microbladed for the longest time!! So I took a trip to @browstouchbyblessing to do just that.

We went through the entire process in detail before we started anything so I was sure I actually wanted them done because let’s not forget this is semi permanent.

She then spent a bulk of the time mapping out the brows, very important because they need to suit your face and not just be the shape you like most.

Now let’s talk pain, as someone who already has ink, it’s really not that bad but that’s between you and your pain threshold lol. you do get numbing cream but that comes after the main outline of the brow has been done.

All in all I was really happy with the advice from start to finish. Two weeks on and I’m very happy with the brows, I will be going back for a top up soon but if you have a look at me across my stories you can see how they’re looking. by @itstheamps

Our explore has been full of cool looking experiments so we thought we’d try a couple. Not all of them worked but these two were pretty fun.

To do the lava lamp you roughly want;
1 part water
2 parts oil
Food colouring
Effervescent tablet.

The flying tea bag the thinner the better. I’ve seen some try this with regular tissue. This should only be done by an adult! by @itstheamps

When your child can’t really tell you what’s wrong, you become the mind reader & translator. You learn to read the small things for us this time it was the quietness, the not quite himself and then you have to convince someone else that what you’re seeing is real and you’re not just exaggerating.

Last week when faced with this we honestly braced ourselves to be sent home with “keep an eye on him.” Instead, three different people, the GP, a doctor, and a senior, all said the same thing, something we didn’t often hear, “if you say something’s off, we go by that”
He was admitted, we stayed three nights, and we were looked after the whole way through.

To every parent who’s ever sat in a waiting room hoping someone will just believe yo, we see you.

You know your child better than anyone. Trust that.
And to the NHS, thank you. We actually didn’t have to advocate, they didn’t it for us, you did exactly what you’re meant to do. 🤍 by @itstheamps
