Hi Loves! Today I’m bringing a different kind of review than usual. I don’t talk a lot about makeup because I don’t wear it on a daily basis, but one of the brands my skin tolerates well is @elfcosmetics This is NOT SPONSORED. I just like this grand and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

I have been eyeing their new Halo Glow Liquid Filter product because it looked like a great option for days I wanted a nice glow and light coverage without having to wear concealer or foundation. One thing about me is I prefer simple makeup looks that are easy and not time consuming.

I also picked up a mascara, and plumping gloss to complete the natural glow look I was going for.

✨The Halo Glow Liquid Filter did exactly what I wanted it to do. You can use this over or underneath foundation or powder or you can use it alone to boost your complexion and enhance your natural glow. I applied powder to “set” this product on my face and then used the @elfcosmetics matte setting spray to make sure my skin wouldn’t be too oily throughout the day.

✨ This says it can be used on all skin types but it is a bit oily so if you are like me with combination oily/dry skin, you may want to adjust how much of this you use on your skin.

MINI TWISTS INSTALL

Happy Wednesday Loves!! Two strand twists are my go-to natural hair style because of how easy they are to install and how much they help my hair retain moisture and length.

I’ve recently been doing more mini twists. The smaller twists last longer and it’s easier for me to work out without sacrificing how my hair looks. Mini twists are also easy to refresh in sections as opposed to my entire head.

For these set of twists I used the @carolsdaughter Divine Goddess Strength Leave in and the @textureid_ Styling Foam.
It was my first time using a leave in and a foam with no cream, gel, or custard to style my twists. I think I liked the results so far! The drying time was a lot faster. I just need to work on finding the best combination for frizz control.

TIPS FOR INSTALLING MINI TWISTS

🌻 Part hair into 3-4 rows in the back for a fuller look since the twists will be smaller-especially if you have fine hair strands.

🌻 Apply your cream and styler to soaking wet hair to capture your full curl shape and pattern.

🌻 Keep your hands close together as you twist from the roots to keep the twists coiled and not puffy.

🌻 Finger coil the ends of each twist.

🌻 Smooth an oil over your wet twists and wet scalp to lubricate and keep moisture in your twists longer.

Chunky twistouts save the day when I need a cute style that is quick and easy.

I can do a chunky twistout on stretched hair, freshly washed hair, or old hair that needs to hold out until washday 😁

To control the frizz at the front of my head, I usually put in 2 flat twists.

✨Natural Hair Tip: Start using leave in conditioners to help maintain your hair health especially if you wear protective styles a lot. Leave in conditioners help to moisturize, patch up , and maintain healthy hair bonds because they usually contain ingredients like vitamins and amino acids or protein extracts.

For this chunky twistout I used the @melaninhaircare Multi-Use Leave in Conditioner and the Twist Elongating Style Cream.

This leave in conditioner and cream give me moisture and conditioning agents without being too greasy or heavy for my fine strands.

I vow to do brunch more often in 2026!

Here are 2 places that have gluten-free, vegetarian, and pescatarian options.

@bbistro.miami is a cute brunch spot in @brickellcitycentre. The carrot ginger soup was delicious and filling. They even had an iced strawberry matcha that was an excellent portion size with authentic matcha ahd fresh strawberry foam.

@240rosecafe in Orlando is designed for great food and instagram inspired moments. They do brunch with content creators in mind because they have tripod and photo wall set ups to capture your best brunch moments.

Dinner with a view is always a vibe ✨

This is a snippet from my bday weekend back in July.

I had dinner with my family at @thehenryrestaurant @brickellcitycentre and then went to @puttshack for dessert.

The Henry has a good variety of dishes whether you like seafood, meats, or are vegetarian/vegan all without breaking the bank. The ambiance is nice and the portions are filling.

It was my first time going to Puttshack and I really liked that they also use a nice rooftop spot to enjoy sweet treats. I recommend the cookie skillet a la mode and the super tube sundae!

Here’s to enjoying more of life’s moments and not waiting for something “big”. Life is what you make it. Start living and t every moment of your life. All of it is beautiful.

When you are on the road constantly for business travel, it can wear your body down if you’re not careful.

Choosing hotels that can give me a good night’s rest and help me be my best self for my daily tasks has become a must for me.

I stayed at the @emilymorganhotel while in San Antonio and they definitely know how to cater to business travelers!

The first thing I noticed was the large bathroom! Everything was crisp, clean, and made for an extremely relaxing bedtime shower routine which was perfect after a long day of flights and layovers.

I prefer king sized beds and this one did not disappoint. The mattress was supportive and felt like it had memory foam. The pillows were plush and fluffy.

The room came with this tablet/clock information system that gave updates on the hotel amenities but my favorite feature was the calming and meditation playlists it had installed.

I ❤️ ASMR so being able to go to sleep with thunderstorm effects and set an alarm to nature sounds to wake me up was top tier 🤏🏾

Lastly, you can’t stay at a Doubletree without indulging in the free warm cookies! 🍪

If you are ever in San Antonio check this hotel out. I will definitely be back!

2025 was a very challenging year. It seems like this is where I hit a wall emotionally after going through the pandemic years. Couple that with some major personal and professional storms, I felt completely…spent.

I started documenting little things about my life that make me smile and decided to make a series out of it.

I hope this reminds you as it’s reminding me that there’s always something to be grateful for. Sometimes in the midst of it all, we just need to breathe and romanticize the little things in our life for a bit more perspective.

Hi Loves!

Jumping back into giving you content by showing you how I prep my hair for styling.

Before I put in my two-strand twists I like to section off my hair and moisturize each section and take care of my scalp.

For this washday I used products from @tropicisleliving.

The leave in spray is conditioning giving my strands the benefits of black castor and red pimento oils. The spray is a nice mist that’s not heavy, even with the oil content.

The black castor and coconut oil hair food didn’t melt as easily as I thought it would, but it was so soothing on my scalp and I didn’t have any dryness or itching all week.

* I used the oil on my twists off camera. I put a little in my hands and pressed the oil into my twists for shine, softness, and conditioning.

#giftedbyorigins Have you ever tried an overnight face mask? I used the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask from @origins and it helped my skin have a nice glow the next morning ✨

Key Ingredients
-Hyaluronic Acid
-Niacinamide
-Avocado Butter
-Mango Butter

This mask has a tropical fruit punch scent which I suppose is appropriate since my fave was drinking this mask all night!

The formula is medium thick in consistency but not heavy or greasy. It is small enough to fit in my carry on luggage or purse so I will definitely try this out on my next flight to keep my skin hydrated while flying!

I also love that this can be used on elbows and hands to alleviate any dry spots.
