I had to do a dedicated post to my dear @itstolulope of @tfndesigns in gratitude for the beautiful masterpiece she made me. I told her I loved her dress, she said she’d make me one and she did!

I had planned to wear this dress for the premier of our film but logistics in Canada did not align so it came later in the week and I’m so glad I was still able to wear it for our last screening at @tiff_net , talk about going out with a bang!

Fun fact!
- @itstolulope (whom I call Fola) and I went to senior secondary school together! We were part of a singing group called E.A.R.N chicks 😅😅 (you’re not allowed to laugh!) and she also taught us taekwondo😂😂😂

- I think over 20people told me they loved my dress! Including total strangers on the streets of Toronto 🥹

- if you’re based anywhere in Canada 🇨🇦 and you want a fashion designer you can trust, @itstolulope (Fola) is your girl any day!!!! All I did was pick the fabric, send my waist, bust and shoulder measurements and she made a masterpiece!!

Dear diary,

This was May 29, 2026, my 30th birthday.

Leading up to my birthday, life felt like it was happening all at once. Plans kept changing, unexpected things came up, and for a while it felt like everything was working against what I had imagined for such a milestone. Eventually, I made peace with the idea that maybe this birthday was simply meant to be quiet, calm, and low-key.

But @ceendia__ had other plans🥹

Thank you for insisting on making this celebration happen when I had already accepted that it wouldn’t. You reminded me that some moments are worth showing up for, even when life gets chaotic. Because of you, I got to celebrate this milestone in the most beautiful way.

I had the best time, and what a beautiful feeling it is to be surrounded by so much love. To everyone who took the time to celebrate with me and grace the occasion with your presence, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I felt incredibly loved, and I’ll always cherish this memory. 🥹

Happy 40th birthday to my favorite cousin ❤️

Aunty Bim, I’ve known you for almost 30 years, and somehow I can’t even remember when I became aware that you were my cousin. You’ve just always been there, constant, loving, and present through every season of my life.

You showed me that being an adult doesn’t mean losing your joy. You carry life with so much lightness, and there is absolutely no way anyone can be around you and not laugh. You laugh deeply, you make others laugh even deeper, and you have this beautiful way of making light of almost every situation, even the hard ones.

Some of my favorite memories are the simplest ones, cooking during festive seasons, your fried rice forever elite, your shawarma unmatched, just moments filled with love and laughter. I may not remember every detail, but I will always remember how you made me feel.

You have made my life and the lives of so many others brighter just by being in it. I love you dearly, Auntie Bim, and I pray that everything beautiful and good comes your way. May the light of the Lord continue to shine in you and through you🙏🏾🫶🏽

Made this piece a few years ago for my 27th birthday photoshoot and never got around to sharing it.

Wore it again this past weekend for Ghana Independence and it reminded me how powerful a piece can be. Same outfit, different season, different version of me. I’m thankful for the growth I’ve experienced over the past few years and for the light the Lord has shone upon me.

Life is seasonal. What you’re going through right now is not forever🤍

Stepped out in @tfndesigns to celebrate Ghana Independence 🇬🇭✨

Came ready to judge Ghana vs Nigeria jollof… but it finished before my turn 😭 so I settled for local rice and beans with stew (so good 👀) and tried banku for the first time… my taste buds were screaming 😂 maybe I just need a second try😅

For now, the jollof war is still unresolved☺️
