I heard the word “Lock-Tober” and froze.

Because as crazy as it sounds, why not lock in for a time period?

But remember, it’s only to prove to yourself that:
↳You are determined enough
↳You are capable enough
↳You are disciplined enough

To get something done.

No matter what you’re building.

Sometimes time constraints give you a certain drive and push.

And it doesn’t need to be extremely results oriented.

But rather evidence than you can do what you said you would.

Or at least make the effort.

For lock-tober, my goals are oriented around my:
→ Visibility output - being visible on multiple and new platforms.
→ Health habits (I’m becoming a serious fruit lover)
→ Spiritual habits - more pockets of prayer and actionable challenges I am setting for myself.

It’s my evidence for myself and my vision.

Give yourself that chance this month.

P.S - Your goals can actually involve finally hiring for the help you actually need to get something moving (like your LinkedIn visibility and authority🌚👀).

When money enters my pocket, more chocolate fudge cake 🍰 enters my mouth 😂

Thankfully, being on LinkedIn actually put money in my pocket😮‍💨 (with only 3.2K followers btw - visibility must be intentional).

It all started with a question “I want to start posting on LinkedIn. Do you think I should do it?”.

The immediate nodding of the head did a BIG 360 in my life.

My strategy wasn’t clear.
But my vision was semi-clear.

I wanted to use the platform to create connections, experiment and grow what I was building.

18 months later and it’s done just that.

With only 3K followers, it’s still brought both paid opportunities and career based opportunities I couldn’t have imagine for myself.

I will always screammm about visibility, because I saw what it’s done for myself and others on @linkedin

Get on there and BUILD.

Hun, I was SHOCKED to hear these words.

For someone who hired and paid creators over the course of my almost 10+ career in marketing, I couldn’t believe my ears.

Yes, creating doesn’t always have to be connected with money.
For many, it just brings them joy and that’s it.

But when you see the valuation of the creator economy heading towards over $350+ BILLION - suddenly, your eyes open.

You should be asking “how can I create an ecosystem that will give me a piece of that pie?”.

Although I’m now on LinkedIn for both business and pleasure purposes (as in, I soak up so much knowledge and wisdom from there), hearing this reminded me to be intentional.

You can have an already thriving business, but your DEAD LinkedIn page means you’re missing out on wild opportunities.

Or

You could be building because it’s fun, but your bills are still very much unpaid 🫠

I’ve seen AND experienced both.

Build with intention.👩🏾‍💻

Unpopular opinion: LinkedIn can actually make you ambitious.

If you told me this two ago, I would have laughed with tears in my eyes.

LinkedIn generally used to the OPPOSITE.

But the space has actually shown me that I’m not thinking big enough AT ALL.

Women my age being chosen for opportunities, simple beaches they are visible and well positioned.

People asking for opportunities BOLDY and actually getting them 🤯

Being in close proximity to people I have admired for years (I would have never made it out of their IG requests folder I promise 😂🫠).

This same ambition is what has helped me layed the foundations of my business @themagneticbuild

And if you’re building anything as a B2B founder or creator entrepreneur, this isn’t a platform you’ll want to skip.

I’m building tools and providing services to make that feel a LOT easier.
We are just getting started 😌

If there’s one thing I know for sure - life is UNPREDICTABLE.

No matter what industry you’re in, switches can happen.

Suddenly that strategy that has worked for 5 years in your business, isn’t creating the same predictable pipeline.

Suddenly the flow of inbound for your creator business, is looking like dry yeast that hasn’t been activated 🫠

I posted on LinkedIn in the midst of that dry spell.
It changed my LIFE.

Now I’m building a business that actually shows you how to build an escape plan before you even need it.

Whether you’re building a B2B business.
Or creating content online.
You’ve got to create options before things take a shift you didn’t expect.

Being visible on LinkedIn opened up doors I had no idea I could be called into.

I’ve done the hard part - embarrassing myself by trying😌
Now, you can do the same (with help of course).

Create the leverage you need by being visible on LinkedIn.

Waiting for the “things to get better” or easier may not always be the answer.

Share in the messy stage.
Share in the building stage.

I got WAY more clarity on my career and business trajectory by posting when things seemed “rough”.

Still showing up.
Still having conversations and being LOUD about what I do, so I can find my way into the right rooms 💅🏾

And if you’re a creator, don’t wait until the algorithm decides to punish you for no reason (seen it, been there - wouldn’t recommend) before you make your expertise known.

Showing up will just increase your chances of being called in for more aligned clients and projects.

And if you’re not sure how you can transfer your positioning unto the platform, stick around because that’s what I’m showing you.

January 2027 could be thanking you for a September 2026 decision.

I’ve seen it.
Lived it.
Now building with this in mind.

I’m no mega creator or influencer at all (3k+ followers on LinkedIn), but I know what makes good positioning.
