Rounding out our mentor spotlight series is Selena Chock from Round Rock, Texas!

Selena is studying Human Resource Management at O’Neill and has so many fun memories from the CLC! She is excited to meet new students and help them adjust to this new chapter!

Selena has a few pieces of advice:
1) College is full of ups and downs, and some days are harder than others. It’s important that you push through.
2) Give college a chance and stick with it. It will allow you to fully experience college and take advantage of the opportunities that it offers. You will find a community of people who are right for you and help you become the best version of yourself!
3) Give yourself grace! Everyone is trying to figure things out. Just because someone looks like they know what’s going on doesn’t mean that they do.

Thanks for following our mentor spotlight series! Follow us for more CLC content!

Our next wonderful mentor is Sofia Rodriguez!

Coming to us from Sellersburg, Indiana, Sofia is a part of the Media School where she studies Journalism! She is so excited to guide students through their transition to IU!

Sofia’s favorite memory while in the CLC? She loved doing the service project at Opportunity House. She participated in the MLK Day of Service and had so much fun doing it with her fellow Civics!

Check back later for more mentor spotlight posts!
