On the 15 January, we welcomed Enfys Alecsandrina into the world. Like Sinaia, she came in quickly and we were besotted with her even quicker. She has been a dream so far.

We are so happy to grow our family and have another sister for the girls. I cannot wait to see the three of them grow up and and undertake this adventure called life.

𝔹𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝕥𝕠 𝕊𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕠𝕝

All three girls are off on various pursuits this week.

Emilia is changing schools and as this has a slightly delayed start (new pupils start the day after everyone else). She’s very excited to start but is worried about finding the bathrooms, bless her.

Sinaia is starting at the nursery attached to Emilia’s old school. She’s really excited to join and wear her uniform! She is so ready for organized education. That second child yearning to be like their older sibling.

Enfys is returning to our beloved childminder after the summer off, though we will still be enjoying our Thursday and Fridays off!!

ꜱᴇᴘᴛᴇᴍʙᴇʀ 1ꜱᴛ — ʙᴀᴄᴋ ᴛᴏ ʜᴏɢᴡᴀʀᴛꜱ ⚡️📚🪄

There are some stories that become so much more than stories. Harry Potter has been part of my life for so many years; from reading the books as a child to watching the films, collecting the little pieces of magic along the way, and now sharing that world with my girls. Hogwarts feels like nostalgia, comfort, imagination and the joy of getting completely lost in a story.

And yes, this little girl is already being introduced to the magic. 🥹

A small but important disclaimer: loving the Harry Potter universe does not mean I support J.K. Rowling’s anti-trans views. I very firmly believe that trans people deserve to live with dignity, safety, equality and acceptance. For me, the magic of this world has always been about friendship, courage, individuality and finding a place where you belong, and that is the message I want my girls to take from it. There is room at our Hogwarts for everyone. 🏳️‍⚧️🤍

So, on September 1st, we’ll be raising our wands to the magic of childhood, books, imagination and a world where everyone gets to be exactly who they are.

Now that all August birthday mayhem is pass, there is time to compile the photos from Emilia’s birthday party. Theme: Demon Hunters.

Emilia wore a dress inspired by the concept art for Zoey’s modern hanbok for the finale number by @lifeslemonshandmade

She obviously had an outfit change to match her Golden sisters for the most fearsome trio! Tom obviously joined the group as Bobby.

There are days I want to freeze, not because they are perfect, but because they hold everything that matters.

The weight of her against me.
Tiny fingers lost in thought.
Wind pulling at our hair.
Rows of lavender stretching further than we can see.

ℒ𝒶𝓋𝑒𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇 ℱ𝒾𝑒𝓁𝒹𝓈

Our year pilgrimage to @castlefarmkent to see the lavender fields.

The girls loved wandering through the fields, taking in the smell and, naturally, finding plenty of opportunities to stop for photos. 😂

There’s something quite lovely about having a place like this in our roster house, although getting three girls to all look at the camera at the same time remains considerably harder than growing lavender.

A lovely little family outing, with purple fields, happy girls and absolutely no shortage of lavender-themed everything in the gift shop, where we never leave empty handed!

We made our yearly pilgrimage to @cammashall for our fruit picking. Due to the draughts that were setting in (beginning of July we weren’t aware it was what was happening) there wasn’t the usual haul available. We still managed to get a good pick and have fun, but always sad to realize in hindsight!

ᴍᴜʟʙᴇʀʀʏ ᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ ꜱʜᴏᴡ

At the beginning of July, Emilia had her ballet show, culminating her year of dance. It was amazing to watch her and she was SO proud of herself at the end.

She has come along so much from when she first started ballet four years ago again and “good toes, naughty toes” were a point of confusion.

Also mad props to Sinaia for not having a meltdown when handing Emilia her flowers this time!

𝓗𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂 4️⃣1️⃣ 𝓑𝓲𝓻𝓽𝓱𝓭𝓪𝔂 𝓣𝓸𝓶! ❤️

It’s been a ride growing with you for more than a decade now. We’ve had tears and fears, screams and loads of nappy creams. 😂

But mostly, it’s been love and laughs.

May you continue to love your puns and your tidbits of information that I then have to Google to see if they’re actually true. May I hear you repeat the same stories for at least another 41 years. And may you continue to confidently tell me things I definitely did not ask to know.

I love watching you be Tati to our three girls, even when they have you completely outnumbered. They adore you past the moon, and I love the little life we’ve created together.

Here’s to another year of adventures, questionable jokes, early morning runs, family chaos, and hopefully slightly more sleep.

Happy seventh birthday to the girl who made me a mom.

My little wonderous eyed girl, who has developed a love of books and stories, be it on paper, stage or film. You are somehow both very big and old enough to make me do a double take but also so very young. May your wonderful and childlike innocence not be smothered out of you and may you continue to see the world with magic. I want to hear “I know Rumi is real, she came to my birthday,” with as much fervour and honesty as the years go by.

It’s amazing to watch you blossom and have your interests unfold, watch you want to learn everything you can about them.

Big emotions swing both ways with you, but you never cease to be a wonderful daughter and big sister.

Happy seventh birthday, Emilia. May each huff and puff and candle blown out be a wish come true.

So lovely to meet up with Willow @alexandraedp and Thea @the_stanley_kids at the confetti fields for a little girls’ day out. 🌸💕

The girls had such a lovely time running around together, exploring the flowers and, of course, posing for a few photos along the way.
