What do Jam & Lewis, Reid & Face & Teddy Riley
All Have In Common ?

ALL THEIR ROADS IN PRODUCTION AND INDUSTRY SUCCESS LEADS TO THIS MAN ONE WAY OR THE OTHER

His Bday Was A Couple Days Ago But You Know The Rest If You Been Following Me Long Enough

I could write a book on him….

Not everyone can say that they have heroes who truly believe in them enough to invest in them, invite them and open doors for them…..But I can and he is one of the top 6 that showed how much he believed in me

From his family success to his innovation at Solar Records that truly changed the game of R&B/Soul/Funk & Pop production

A verrrrrry happy birthday to my mentor, teacher, uncle and as his younger brother Foster calls him YODA

The Godfather Of Contemporary R&B

LEON SYLVERS

Love You So Much Unc And As Always…

The innovator.....
The genius.....
The game changer.....
or as his baby brother Foster
calls him “Yoda”

There will never be enough words to describe this man’s influence in R&B/Funk & Pop history....Whether it was with his younger siblings or his groundbreaking production/songwriting & sick bass playing work that along with the genius of the late Dick Griffrey helped build the musical force that became Solar Records which in many ways kept the strength of black artist music influence alive going into the 80’s

I often call him the godfather of Contemporary R&B because what Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis & L.A Reid & Babyface all have in common was that they all looked up to and worked under him while creating their own legacy sounds for the future of R&B....He was able to keep the Funk bottom while expanding R&B textures with Pop commercial understandings whether it was Shalamar’s “A Night To Remember”, Carrie Lucas “Show Me Where You Coming From” or The Whispers “The Beat Goes On” which lead the way for those guys to do the same thing in my generation

And even more important that, he’s my mentor and great friend whom I’m proud to call uncle and soooo excited to be working with him on a few projects he chose me for over these last 4 years…Nothing like the real OG’s who have done, still doing and WILLING to give you game, knowledge and stories that will help your future only get greater.....Yep....Im One Blessed Fortunate Dude To Have The Support & The Co-Sign Of This Dude Right Here

A Verrrrrry Verrrrrry Happy Birthday To The One
And Only LEON SYLVERS !!!!! Love You For Life Dude !!!!! They Not Ready For What We About To Do
