You must be certain of the devil. Indeed We took what we thought to be one of the last chances to see the inimitable, eternal goddess of goth and everything else DIAMANDA GALAS. Quite a touching experience .. taken in Warsaw, Poland by @ivanmariavele

I went to see Tilda Swinton at Serpentine Gallery in London in an installation created with Cornelia Parker in September 1995. She was the sleeping beauty and I did the cue 3 times to experience this phenomenal being form literally 1 cm more then once. I bought the postcard of the installation and since then she is sleeping at my bed side, together with some more personal items. This is to say how deep Tilda’s legacy has encountered my frequencies in the past 40 years or so. I always had a FAN attitude towards certain outstanding radidal human beings and I am not ashed of it. Actually is a tool to rebalance the ego that pushes towards outer limits, the once established by people like David Bowie or Tilda Swinton, indeed.
A polar star for anything, really. Style, posture, arts. The muse of Derek Jarman, Guadagnino, Almodovar and the absolutely eternal actress that acted as Orlando by Sally Potter/Virginia Woolf. Maybe the most touching end scene ever with that Jummy Sommerville flying over the clouds, singing like an angel.
We went to see the exhibition at Institute of Creative Industries (IPK) in Warsaw last week and of course found it interesting especially because SHE is presenting ONGOING collaborations with artists she is in tune with, including the ones which are no longer with us. A sense of present continuum rather then vintage past. Chapèu! taken in Warsaw, Poland by @ivanmariavele

I haven’t been to Warsaw for quite a long time and what best occasion then UNSOUND festival. We found the city largely improved, enriched, organized alhough I was a fan of old time Poland and its crumbling aesthetics.
The event organised by ARCA was somehow a revelation. I saw her back in 2015 C2C thanks to that genius gentleman Sergio Ricciardone (rest in power brother! your legacy is eternal) but this time around SHE/THEY created an entire world where to re-tune your contemporary being. What is NEW? What is POST NEW? Do we need to define a post-human condition still or are we living through the most humanist time of it all? Their music played LIVE makes sense much more then what you feel through you headphones . Her performance of an absolute mutant popstar is not at all a thing of the recent past. 10 and more years later ARCA progression is constant and her fan base growing steadily. She is adored. And rightly so. We could check that out also the day after the event of the talk UNSOUND organized in the new musuem of modern art. Calm, insightful, inspiring. And beautiful of course. The curation of AIRDOLL show brought us to meet the incredible performance of her longtime friend Bobby Beethoven. What a blast that was!. Some type of new industrial breakbeat surreal neoclassical trip where each sound is something out of the ordinary (dis)order. Sincerley the most shocking set we heard since Aphex Twin early crazy live appereances in 1995. (Yes I know we are old and proud to be). The rest, very good as well.
Thank you. taken in Warsaw, Poland by @ivanmariavele

What an incredible weekend in Barcelona.
The first party of the series celebrating 10 years of Summa Cum Laude has just come to an end, and what a way to begin.
The warmth and hospitality of Oblicuo Hi-Fi were truly beyond words. A one-of-a-kind place, with an atmosphere of the highest quality, where music, people and passion come together in a very special way.
Calemma and I had the pleasure of playing some unique cuts that are deeply rooted in our backgrounds, records that shaped us, influenced us and became part of who we are.
A huge thank you to everyone who came and shared this special weekend with us.
And a very special thank you to Ivan and Dobrochna for the incredible hospitality, the trust, and for creating such a unique space for music.
10 years of Summa Cum Laude and this is only the beginning.
Next SCL 10’s will happen 31 October in London at @barabarldn by @ivanmariavele

We’re excited to announce the first two events celebrating 10 years of Summa Cum Laude.

The journey begins in Barcelona and London, marking the first chapters of a series of special nights dedicated to a decade of music, friendship, and shared experiences.

Founded by Domenico Crisci, Summa Cum Laude has always been more than a record label; it has been a meeting point for artists, friends, and a community connected through music.

For the Barcelona edition on 25 September at Oblicuo Hi-Fi, Domenico and Calemma will each present a special set conceived specifically for the atmosphere and sound of the club. Two unique musical journeys, shaped around the intimacy and character of the room.

London will follow on 31 October at Bar a Bar, continuing the celebration in another special setting and opening the door to the next chapter of this journey.

And we’re only getting started.

Naples and Florence are next, with more dates and special events to be announced soon.

10 years of Summa Cum Laude.
10 years of music, friendship, and connection.

With a huge thanks to our friend and artist Mariangela Levita for her art and vision. by @ivanmariavele

The Antwerp Six exhibition was rather the excuse to go Visit Antwerp after 20 years. A majestic show that tell the unique story of some fashion heroes which changed the scene back in the 80s. We could say they then became 9 with Martin, Veronique and Raf. Influenced more from London Punkdadaist and european avantgardes then from classic Paris and Milan Fashion this lot had the privilege and honour to make us dream another aesthetics world was possible. All very different by each others but all very convincing in their voyage. Indeed you should go check it if fashion for you is not only what you wear but also what you really want to express. Quite an obvious statement I know but hey thats all I've got for you today. Thank you Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dirk Bikkembergs, Dirk Van Saene, Marina Yee. taken in MoMu - Fashion Museum Antwerp by @ivanmariavele

Just like the rest of flat-earthers we chose to celebrate the august 2026 total eclipse in the middle of nowhere-somewhere in Castilla la Mancha. The two of us like in 1999 when we went to Vlad Tepes ruined castle in Transilvania. This time was an even better view. 100% obscurity and few minutes of glory! Wonderful that is, this part of the galaxy. Thank you! taken in Guadalajara. Castilla la Mancha by @ivanmariavele

ESP:

ENG:
Waking up at 3 AM to attend a theatrical performance at the GREC festival dedicated to the great Yukio Mishima and his eternal glorification of SEPPUKO (the Japanese ritual suicide, also known as harakiri) at 4:30 AM. Experiencing the crazy, provocative, and visionary staging by Angélica Liddell, one of the gems of the Catalan scene, was a singular experience. A show that lacks nothing and defies the restrictions imposed by the neopuritans controlling the META channels. Full nudity, real human blood, unrestrained sex, zero taboos, no hope. Going to the theater has now become the only form of cultural resistance. Of course, we liked it a lot. The set design recalls the best Bob Wilson (rest in power!), while the monologue in Spanish alone is worth the price of our sacrifice, rich in references to a never-sleeping avant-garde, now more relevant than ever and waiting to be rediscovered. it was an unconventional awakening, but yes absolutely memorable. taken in Teatre Lliure by @ivanmariavele
