Happy world theatre day!

In the past year, I’ve had the joy of acting, directing and filming 15 projects! some theatre, some film, some secret third things, but all seeped in creativity at their core. I am grateful every day I can wake up and do the thing that I, and so many other people love in such great supply.

2025-2026 was Ellison Nationals, Meteors, Legally Blonde, RCM voice intensive, Hadestown, Anyone Can Whistle, Taming of the Shrew, DNA, Peachfuzz Writers on Writers, ThrowUpNow, Life After Love, Bedtime Cabaret & more…

2026-2027 will be twice as fulfilling!

Keep creating & keep finding the theatre in everyday things, there’s more around you than you think!

I think I am going to say thank you now!

I Think I Am Going to Throw Up Now has won the most promising production & audience choice awards for Hart House Drama Festival 2026.

This show has been a dream to direct — staging these incredible artists in their homes on stage was an undertaking I was incredibly fortunate to have had.

The way each Abbey brought together the character in all her multifaceted glory, made me glad we didn’t over-elaborate in our casting call!

Isabella, from the first “wow, hey people” to your final words on stage, you brought a sense of self to the role that required taking incredible risks and rearing incredible rewards in the process. You took this show by storm and gave us an angle of abbey I would have loved to have known. I am honoured to have worked with someone so sure of their abilities, and cannot wait for what’s next!

Anya, you tore up the Hart House stage a matter of weeks before the drama festival. Seeing your subtlety and enthusiasm come alive in the rehearsal process, made myself and the entire team wholly awe struck by your presence as Abbey! Your voice and command over the audience changed this show into something entirely new and exciting, I am endlessly grateful that you trusted this show with your whole heart.

Ella, your vulnerability as Abbey made a mark on my direction of the role. You brought her to the stage with so many facets, it was hard to ignore just how you unwaveringly presented Abbey as a person before the world of the show. In getting to know you, I’ve gotten to know myself.

V!!!!!!!!!!! You demon of a writer. I am in absolute shock that they did not censor us or change our script at all. I wouldn’t have done this show over a phone call for anybody else, but you. Having the opportunity to work with you during the writing process made me realise the Abbeys and Rosies surrounding me, furthering my drive to get this show on stage. You are the best writing partner anyone could ask for, and your creative direction & manifestation for this show took us all the way to Hart House.

how do you think they’re living? 🧬

To this experience — I owe my gratitude and unending love. DNA is my second encounter with playing a character my age, making it a particularly long discussion on authenticity surrounding performing as a teenager. Knowing there’s not one way to do it made it easier to let go and submit to the inconsistent process of growth and change.

This cast and crew gave me everything to work with night after night and I’d never have it any other way. My heart lies in leaves and Canadian candy wrappers.

Dance Captain Magruder! 🍪🎺

There’s no concrete place to start when talking about this show but for some reason thinking of it brings me an unfound sense of fondness.

@mila_frumovitz @avrilbrigden Thank you for putting me through the ringer with this choreography. I’ve never been so excited to get on stage and trust that I will just have the best time in the process of all the ballet, fosse and held tableaus.

I used that humorous intro to hide just how emotionally invested I was in the process of finding this Character. Mila thank you thank you thank you for trusting me with this choice-ridden rendition of Magruder. Of all things, a bedazzled hat never laid in my radar of things a chief would possess, yet it somehow fit in the direction I was given all along.

Jo. I live in endless awe of your ability to conduct a song so shrouded as ‘simple’. You made learning this show much more achievable than the libretto could have ever made it. I’m still practicing my entrances in ‘lean on’, I think I’ll have them by the end of the year.

Gaby, Lily. You saved my life on many an occasion, for that I can never thank you enough there are no words but thank you, anymore. This was the highest balcony I’ve been on in front of an audience & somehow I’ve never felt safer.

The world we dream about… @hadestown : Teen Edition

From the bottom of my heart I cannot describe the ways in which this show changed me as an actor. But beyond that, I was given the chance to experience this incredible show with the most talented cast and crew on earth.

thank you first and foremost to @jordangurbin for introducing me to the show, its soundtrack and the insane amounts of background context there’s been in the show’s development & mythology.

Stephan & Mike, (@stephand7 @pmichaelbradley) I’ve been given the gift of working with the two kindest, most professional people on this planet. Thank you for letting me explore Hades as a multifaceted role, and not one that ends at the electric city.

I’m sure everyone’s wondering where the absolutely revolutionary scenic design comes from. You’ll be glad to hear it’s our usual culprit @meredithwolting who has taken the steampunk ecobrutalism to its highest point. Our show would never be complete without the encouraging words hidden deep behind the set. Thank you for everything!

Legally Blonde: The Musical @bravo_academy!

Advanced Teen Troupe at Bravo Academy has been a truly revolutionary experience for me in every sense. I’ve found not only a great collective of young theatre artists, but more so an ironclad sense of community that never falters.

It is my greatest honour to have portrayed my second evil male character, following my famed portrayal of Gaston (BATB 2024). In my head canon Callahan went to jail to reconcile for his lethal slick back. This role pushed me to sing an E4! Who knew a bass could sing!

Ellison was my first experience with an honour choir & I couldn’t have asked to be in better company. The music made that week still resonates in all the work I’ve done since, and I often revisit videos from this time for my own personal reminiscing.
