GAT Portugal✈️🌎 This is your sign to go follow your dreams with @global_amateur_tour 📸: @elisefordphotography #portugal #portgualequestrian #globalameteurtour #showjumping by @ivymalmaneq

Portugal….I don’t even know where to start. I think I told Tahlia at least 5 times during our trip “I can’t remember the last time I laughed this hard”.

I was so lucky to return for my second GAT 2* to beautiful Portugal, which i fell in love with pretty much the second i got off the plane. Not only is this country absolutely stunning, but the people here are so wonderful and welcoming. I had the pleasure of being in GREAT company with my amazing tour group, and I’ve definitely made lifelong friends. I laughed, cried, and celebrated for and with them, and i’m SO grateful for that.

I had an absolute blast exploring Porto and Esposende, and the riding experience made the trip even more special. We got the opportunity to train under Anna Lindberg for a week and well… I loved her so much I stayed on one more week😝 (not the last one)

Ive had so much support from my family, friends, and team. Thank you everyone for believing in me and making me more motivated💗

Got to spend lots of time with these wonderful ladies, who i WILL be visiting and missing a lot in the mean time🥹

Had the coolest roomate…

Dont worry Im coming back soon

🇵🇹 IT’S COMPETITION DAY! 🏆

After four days of training, getting to know new horses, finding the buttons and building partnerships, today our GAT Portugal riders head into the competition arena!

But before we do, a moment for the most important members of the team…🐴

We have so much appreciation for these incredible animals and everything they do for us. They don’t speak our language, they don’t know that today is “competition day”, and they certainly don’t know what result we’re chasing. They simply put their trust in us and try their hearts out.

On a GAT Tour, that feels even more special. Our riders arrive as complete strangers to their horses and, in just a few short days, have to learn to understand one another, adapt, build trust and become a team.

It’s pretty incredible what horses allow us to do, where they take us and how much they teach us along the way.

So today, whatever happens between the start and finish flags, the biggest thank you goes to them. 🫶

Now it’s time to enjoy every second of it.

Let’s go, Team GAT Portugal! 🇵🇹🐴🏆 by @ivymalmaneq

Safe to say these new partnerships are already looking pretty exciting! 👀 by @ivymalmaneq

The UK tour may already be on their third day of training but it’s only day one of the horsey adventures for our GAT Portugal riders! 🇵🇹 Hear from Ivy 🇺🇸 and Tahlia 🇦🇺about their game plan for the day ahead! by @ivymalmaneq

Long overdue post from COJT 5&6…
Both boys were absolutely fabulous both weeks, our first week I dropped down a class on both horses to work on rideability and distances as well as to set us up to move back up for the second week. Not only was it good for my horses to have a low stress “warm up” week, but I got to work on my accuracy and lines, which are both very important factors in moving back up. this was potentially my last show on Gatsby so I wanted to make sure we had a good foundation and lots of confidence to do the 1.10 together. Peeta and I placed in every class, with 2 reserve champions, a first, and a 4th in the .90, 2nd in the .95 classic, and 4th in the .85 classic. Gatsby and I placed two 2nds and a 6th the 1.10, and a 4th, 7th and 8th in the 1m. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better show and thank you to my team and family for always supporting me.💗 @ninealta_equestrian @co_jumpingtour @jump_nee @capturedmomentphotodotcom by @ivymalmaneq

Too good not to post. Gatsby and I rode a nearly foot-perfect round taking us into 2nd in the 1.10 on a difficult power & speed course 🌟 This guy jumped his lil heart out and I genuinely could not be more proud of us for how far we’ve come in such a short period. My heart is so full and thank you to everyone who has supported me all the way through💗 @ninealta_equestrian @mblivingthedream @co_jumpingtour by @ivymalmaneq

COJT Week 5✅ My prime focus for this week was not to necessarily place and get ribbons, but to work on accuracy and rideability on both horses. I moved down on both and had some very beautiful rounds that earned me ribbons for nearly all of my rides. This week helped me learn that taking a step back is not a bad thing, and that it was very good to have a week with less pressure on myself so I could really come back and make sure I’m giving my horses the rides they need around these tracks. Very excited to carry my learning experiences into this next week and make it great🌟 by @ivymalmaneq

This past week I was able to ride in my first international CSI2* with @global_amateur_tour and I couldn’t have had a better experience. I had an absolutely wonderful team and coaches to share this experience with and I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing people I met.
Mexico has always been a very special place to me, and getting the chance to experience the culture and be around horses at the same time made even better. The riders and horses here are incredible and i’m so lucky i got to witness and learn from all the amazing riders while also getting to compete on a beautiful horse😁 I got to have a wonderful training experience before our 3 days of competition, where I went from 19th, to 8th, to 5th overall and best foreign rider. I’m so thankful for all the support and all the wonderful people i got to meet❤️❤️ Thank you all! by @ivymalmaneq

Best week ever in Puebla with @global_amateur_tour 🎉💗 Thank you to @quintas_ecuestres @lopetzki_tackshops for putting on this incredible event🫶 If you know me, you know there’s no place I’d rather be than beautiful Mexico🇲🇽❤️So grateful for this experience and can’t wait to come back! by @ivymalmaneq

Double clear and delivering when it mattered most! 🔥

🇺🇸USA’s Ivy Malman and Harikarla K jumped a fantastic double clear round today to secure 8th place in the second round of the GAT 1.10 Championships. 👏

A brilliant performance under pressure and another step forward in their international competition journey! 💪 by @ivymalmaneq
