The MusicRow Awards were announced yesterday and a couple of Shoals recording studios are mentioned for two of this year’s Discovery Artists of the Year: Kashus Culpepper, who recorded part of his album Act I at Ivy Manor Studio with Dan Hannon, and Ty Myers, who recorded his sophomore album Heavy On The Soul at FAME Recording Studios.

Congratulations to all nominees!

We loved having @aaronshust and his son here at Ivy Manor this week! Aaron Shust’s “My Savior My God,” produced by Dan Hannon, became one of the biggest Christian songs of the 2000s + No. 1 for 2006, winner of the 2007 Dove Award for Song of the Year, and Billboard’s No. 2 Hot Christian Song of the decade! taken in Muscle Shoals, Alabama by @ivymanorstudios

✌️ out, Muscle Shoals! It was an amazing month of recording 11 new songs @ivymanorstudios!

Getting to work with @danhannon again after all these years was a GIFT! He’s still a music making wizard and very average at basketball. (Don’t let the video fool you, I beat him most games). This project wouldn’t have been the same without deep talks and grape gum with my guy, @clintingersoll. Fam 4 life. Had another full circle moment, getting to work with @elihannon as a cowriter, player and producer. He was FOUR YEARS OLD when I met him, and now I’m a proud big sis in awe of his heart and talent. Thank you to @jaredprzybysz for being amazing on every take. To @emmaburney_ for the insanely gorgeous string playing. To @kimtibbsmusic for heading up the perfect gospel choir and bringing all the laughs (Kim, Kendrick + Ms Diane, I adore you all). To @tessaprzybysz for holding the house together and helping with logistics to get this thing to the finish line. Thank you @music_jake for keeping the mics set and cables run, along with all the interns who pitched in. Thank you @clairenichols00 for capturing the magic and being an angel to work with. Thanks to my secret weapon, @ansleycheatham, for cheering me on - I’m so glad you got to come visit! And thank you to @gkrcelic for somehow always being a part of special connections in my life. I am over the moon about the songs and I can’t wait for the world to hear them!

I did not see 2026 being a year of recording new music, but goodness I am grateful. Thank you, JESUS, for blessing me with this incredible opportunity. I pray I will always be a trustworthy vessel. ❤️ #singersongwriter #newmusic #worshipmusic #jesusmusic #christianmusic by @ivymanorstudios
