Here’s a little sneak peek behind the scenes of recording Heavy Doors! (Ignore our messy closet 😂)

I recorded this song down in Muscle Shoals, AL @ivymanorstudios but we decided to add more background vocals after I was home. This was the solution! It’s amazing what you can do with a phone and a computer these days (and a wizard producer like @danhannon)!!! Do I get official engineering credit for this project now?!?! 🤔😂

Glad y’all are enjoying the song! Keep singing loud and sharing. And message me when you hear it on the radio!!! I LOVE hearing from you guys ❤️ To God be the glory forever and ever AMEN!

3 years ago today, in the middle of a Chick-fil-A, I met @danhannon and @elihannon by the sheer will of God.

Some people say not to meet your heroes... Forget that. Taking a chance on introducing myself to Dan is one of the best decisions I've ever made, as he has become one of the greatest mentors and friends I have. Getting to call him my producer is just a bonus!

Eli is just as great a friend, and a producer in his own right. Most of what I've learned about being an artist (and a better human) these last few years has been from observing and having conversations with the Hannons and the rest of the crew at @ivymanorstudios.

My friendship and collaboration with Dan and Eli means a whole lot to me. It's too much to cram into one post, really. For now, I'll just emphasize that every good thing comes from God, including the moments we get to spend together, and the music that follows them.

Three cheers for three years, fellas! This album is nothing short of electric, and I can't wait for us to share it with the world.

What a GIFT it was to record music again with friends! Thank you, Jesus, for the heavy door you opened for me to have this opportunity. 🙌 A true miracle. I can’t wait to share more behind the scenes of how this all came together. God is so good!

HEAVY DOORS IS AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE! Go stream it, like it, share it, and add it to all your favorite playlists! Thank you for listening ❤️

I wrote “Heavy Doors” with my brilliant friends, April Cushman and Krissy Nordhoff.

Produced and mixed by Dan Hannon.
Recorded at Ivy Manor Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. Special thanks to the team there who made me feel like family.
Mastered by Jay Tooke.

I pray this song floats into the depths of your heart and ignites a fresh belief in our trustworthy God. If you’re staring down a heavy door in front of you (or maybe it looks like a wall right now) - keep asking, keep knocking, keep believing. He will make a way.

YES LORD!

🎧This week on All The Things, we sit down with Goldpine, husband-and-wife duo Ben and Kassie Wilson, whose self-described “aggressive Americana” brings together raw vocals, bold harmonies, southern soul, and a whole lot of personality.

❤️Married for 16 years, Ben and Kassie have built something that goes far beyond making music together. We talk about what it’s actually like to share a marriage, a stage, a creative vision, and plenty of miles on the road and somehow still want to make music with each other at the end of the day.

🫶🏻Formerly known as My One and Only, the two eventually became Goldpine, a name with its own story: “Pine” connecting back to Kassie’s roots and “Gold” representing the refining fire that can come through life’s harder seasons. That same mix of grit and beauty runs throughout their music.

🎶From a suitcase kick drum and harmonica to taking their music to festivals and stages across the country, these two have created a sound and a life that is completely their own.

😍But this is All The Things, so we’re just as interested in the humans behind all of that. We talk marriage, music, creativity, life on the road, and the stories that happen when two people decide they’re going to build the dream together.

🔥Goldpine is talented, wonderfully unique, and proof that sometimes a little fire is exactly how you make gold.
