What a powerful month it is! While I believe we should celebrate the accomplishments of Black people and share their stories throughout the year and throughout our lives, there’s nothing wrong with specifically highlighting them in February.

As we honor the past and the incredible individuals who have laid the groundwork for so many of us, it’s equally important to recognize the stories of new Black leaders and game changers. Hearing their journeys and reading their stories is crucial, especially considering the sacrifices made by those who came before us. You can find a current powerful Black story in my memoir and in many pieces of contemporary Black literature today.

If you’re interested in getting my memoir, it’s available on @amazonbooks , @barnesandnoble (BN.com), and @kobobooks for just $2.99 (eBook). Special thanks to these organizations for featuring my book and offering the same incredible deal.

This promotion ends on 2/15, so don’t miss out. Consider gifting it to someone who can benefit from my story. Thank you for your support! by @iwstbh

So many tough conversations happened in this full episode with @goldinmartinez , but it’s a necessity. We often find out the hard way that the people we love have experienced pain or abuse similar to what we’ve faced ourselves. That doesn’t justify it, but it can sometimes bring clarity to a difficult situation.
