With my head down and heart full of dedication, I strive to make a positive impact in everything I do.

✨ A FACT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME ✨

When I was 6 years old, I experienced a traumatic event that forever changed the course of my life. I witnessed my beloved father, my rock, tragically drown right before my eyes. The pain and shock of that moment were indescribable, and it took years of healing and self-discovery to find my way back to a place of strength and resilience.

In the midst of my grief, I stumbled upon competitive swimming as a form of therapy. The water became my sanctuary, a place where I could release my emotions, find solace, and regain a sense of control.

As I immersed myself in the sport, I discovered not only physical strength but a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Swimming and now more recently Muay Thai became my way of honoring my father’s memory - pushing myself beyond limits, and embracing life’s challenges head-on.

I share my journey with you all, not for sympathy but to shed light on the power of healing through sports and hopefully to inspire others who may be facing their own battles.

We asked Coach Mahalia breaks down what “staying loose” means for her and her athletes.

DM us to try a free class and feel the difference on the mats.

Proof that your Coach has a tendency to glitch sometimes.

Great visit at Wolfhouse today!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Edmonton City Councillor Anne Stevenson @edmonton_anne , who represents our ward, to Wolfhouse to meet our team and see our community firsthand.

We had a great conversation about the strength of our local community and the important role that sports and martial arts play in bringing people together, creating opportunities for youth, building confidence and discipline, and giving people a positive place to belong.

We also discussed some of the challenges and opportunities facing combat sports in Edmonton and how we can continue working together to make these sports more accessible and supported in our city.

Thank you, Councillor Stevenson, for taking the time to visit, listen, and connect with our athletes, coaches and members.

We appreciate the conversation and look forward to continuing to contribute to our community. 🐺

Every athlete has doubted themselves. The difference isn't who has that fear, it is who choose to keep going.

Prove them wrong, be better than yesterday, and challenge the voice in your own head.

Keep proving yourself right girl. @iyamide @drhoneymuscle @monique.mickey
